It was sunny and 70 today but a cold front is coming. Tomorrow's high will be only 61 going down to 33 at night. About the same for Wednesday and then going up into the mid to high 70s.
I've been using Tru-Color paints that I get from Arizona Hobbies at a pretty good price. The Tru-Color paints go on nice and smooth. I have no interest or connection(s) with Tru-color. I just like their paint.
We had a great day and terrific turnout for the FAST contest held with the Billetproof show at the Garlits museum yesterday and then another great day today for a model display at the Manatee show put on by the Citrus County Cruisers. Sunny and 80 both days. Tomorrow is rest.
I got a Revell Big Deuce kit. Box is beat up but everything bagged inside. I'll probably never build it, so if someone is interested in doing a trade, please let me know.
My latest completion is this '57 Chevy Bel Air in HIK tangerine kandy. Frame rails are colored to body while the chassis is painted with Rustoleum texture paint and so is the trunk interior. Pegasus 23" wheels used on all 4 corners. Fine mesh was used for the grille. Incorrect, but I use copper BMF on the side panels to maintain the coppery look of the car. Scratch built center console and bucket seats fill out the interior.
Sunday was Portillo's Italian beef sandwiches. Tonight I'm making lemon pepper chicken, roasted potatoes and a salad, with some Jim Beam & RC Cola on the side.
Monday was a busy day making a pot roast in the Instant Pot and grilling 18 burgers. Then we divide into meals and do the vacuum seal thing.
