  1. Lovely stories Christopher and Art. I doubt that Jameston will ever get back to me and even if he did, I wouldn't waste a dime on his paint or service. You may have noticed that I build quite a few models over a year. They all require paint. Nonw of the paint will be Scale Finishes.
  2. Bill... the guy announced he was having a moving sale. Does that sound like the move came "out of the blue"?
  3. But why does the guy promise ship dates and not ship, Jonathan? Doesn't make sense to me to create a shipping label and then not ship the product. Oh well. I'll stick with Coast Airbrush.
  4. Actually I'm not dealing with the issue anymore because he returned my money that I didn't ask for. I requested status on my order.
  5. I can certainly understand the points you make, Jonathan. What I can't and won't forgive is promising to ship on a specific date and than not making that date. And that happened not once, but twice. It also been my experience that movers show up on a specific date and time. Not just out of the blue as claimed.
  6. I don't how busy he might be. I get emailed a promise ship date and falls through. Makes another promise and doesn't make that either. Ready for paint or not, there's no way I'd wait 3 or 4 weeks for a bottle of paint. You order August 14 and haven't heard anything? Are you just going to sit and wait?
  7. Somebody posted somewhere on this forum about Scale Finishes having a sale. I never used the paint before so I figured $24 for 8 bottles of paint, what the heck. So on August 18 I placed an order and paid via Paypal. On August 22 I got an email that the paint was shipped with a 2 priority. Cool. The paint didn't get here so on August 28 I sent an email to Scale Finishes asking about the status of my order. The quick reply was that he had to work double shifts, the movers showed up and paint will go out Thursday. Here it is Saturday with update on shipping so I emailed again. No reply this time. He just refunded my money. That was nice but I wanted to try the paint. So guess what? No matter how great Scale Finished paint might be, they'll NEVER see an order from me again!!
  8. It's your life, Steven. Do it your way. Your wheels are FANTASTIC!
  9. Have you tried spray adhesive shot from a distance? Styene strips first and flat black last of course.
  10. I haven't had any issues with Duplicolor (yet).
  11. Thank you Mark, Bruce, and Keith.
  12. Thanks guys. One of the few time I forget an interior pic and I get busted for it. Sorry. I forgot to take the pic. Not much in there anyway.
  13. Here's the 1986 El Camino I've been working on. It has the Choo Choo customization on it. Not much done other than wire up the engine. Paint is Dulicolor white primer with some Pearl Ex micro pearl over it and cleared. The decals were really messed up but Carl Slusher saved my butt. The build is going to a friend that's building a 1:1 Choo Choo El lCamino.
  14. Excellent workmanship, John. Bravo. Why didn't you follow the paint scheme to underneath?
  15. I use a small plastic tub for wet sanding and before adding water, I add a few drops of Dawn dishwashing liquid. It makes the water wetter and slides easier.
  16. I always used gloss black enamel under Alclad or Spaz Stik. I'm not sure, but I don't think Tamiya rattle cans are enamel.
  17. Super interior. Very nice color and finish. I've always loved that never ending line stuff. How did you do that?
  18. Loved the pic Ed. We've been getting gentle rain for past couple of days. As of now, Hermine is tracking further north than originally anticipated. I'm sure we'll get some winds and rain but not as severe. We're prepared with water, food, emergency kits and all the potential yard projectiles have been safely stored away.
  19. Who's holding you up, Ray?
  20. Looks like the start of a very nice Mustang corral.
  21. Very, very nice.
  22. Very pretty in SHINY
  23. Pumps attendants? They disappeared decades ago. I guess the price of gas in NJ is more expensive?
