Just completed is this '66 Chevy SS396 in Duplicolor bahama blue. I wanted it little different from the kit so I put on dual quads and massaged the exhaust. This is also the first time putting BMF down before the clearcoat. I think I like this way better.

Thank you very much, Johann. I'm pretty sure I'll be doing a Prowler. That would tie the headlights together. Some BIG Chevy engine would tie to the cab. I have to find some really nice slicks for the Prowler.

I still have the X-Acto blade welded/brazed to a solder iron fitting that I got from Auto World. Think it's worth anything? I still have 1 or 2 of their catalogs too.

I used to visit the Hobby Town store in Gainesville after I went to the VA hospital. They shut down the giant store and moved to the other side of town to a much smaller store. While the prices at the original store were high, they went through the ceiling in the new place. The old place had a fantastic selection of Model Master paint and while priced high, it was the only place to get it. Now their paint selection is poor and I don't even bother going back. Hello online stores.

I use an old cap from a can of primer. Not as much circumference as yours, but it seems to work OK. I might try your idea though.
