chris coller replied to Harry P.'s topic in Real or Model? / Auto ID Quiz
Gonna go with model on this one. Something with the chrome on this that lends me to say model. -
FERRARI 550 MARENELLO With more pics as requested
chris coller replied to chris coller's topic in Model Cars
Thank guys for the kind words. Me being my own worst critic, I did hapen to rub through the at the hood inlet and the licence plate area during polishing. Oh well someone else owns it now. -
Looks good Jay!

Thanks guys. I just love this kit. Also have the 7-11 and the Folgers version of the IMSA cars. I am planing on doing the 7-11 Mustang but worried about the decals. They seam opaque, to much blleed through for me. If I can pick up another set it will get built. Dave my man, if you decide to paint them stripes you are a saint and good luck. The decals were very stiff. So I busted out the blow drier and the micro sol and got to it. The old glue I had to strip off so to speak in warm water and use micro set to get them stubborn decals to set. I love these type of cars.

Straight box stock build with plug wires. Picked it up at a flea market for $6 untouched. Boy was I woorried about those 20 plus year decals. I am happy with the way it turned out as I built I don't know how many of these a s a kid. This one came out mush better. Enjoy.

My version of a Foose style mustang. Not spot on to the yellow stang he did a few years back but I couldnt fint enough reference pics to do it up right. So here is what I came up with.

Absolutely that is were the 427 is going. Thanks again. Spoilers are made with sheet styrene super glued and and formed with a sanding stick. Shot some filler primer to cover up the inconsistantcies in the body work. Got the painted and waiting a few days to lay the stripes on it.

Those wire wheels look real good. Cant wait to see more progress on this Ferrari.

I know the feeling about finishing projects. I also have the Tamiya Enzo that I paln on building. Hope I can come up with better results with that than what this thing is coming out. I did leran some things building this. Did you enjoy the Revell Enzo? I have seen it build up nice.

Thanks for the tips for posting multiple pics. I would love to see some more sprint car builds. I got one going as a WIP so check it out. Got the body panels painted Saturday. Hope to have it decaled up by next weekend.

chris coller replied to E St. Kruiser50's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Nothing sexier or more eye catching than a yellow vette. Except of course a woman with certain porpotions. Wink Wink! -
Nice build I myself like the road racing cars. I had built this car about 9 years ago. Yours very nice and super clean. Great work!

JOEY SALDANA BUDWEISER WoO SPRINT CAR
chris coller replied to chris coller's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Yup, it isn't on the website. You have to contact Terry for this. Also sells them on ebay under customsbyterry. Sets start at $20 or $22. Or if you do a search on ebay for sprint car and go to models it should show up there. Hope that helps! -
These are the only two good pics I could get and don't even know how good they are. Not to the high standards as the other posted on here. This thing seems to be fightin me tooth and nail. I will post more pics if I can get some better ones. So here is the run down on the parts used for this mess: Crazy Modeler photo etch set (very nice by the way) Scale Motorsport and Studio 27 Carbon fiber decals MFH heat sheild I did weather the exhaust which is barely seen but still looks good. Going to add somme oil and cooling lines ala Mr Thibideau.(spelling?) Body panels are taped up and in primer. It will painted with Zero Rossa Corso red. Sorry for the folks taht dont' like red Ferrrai's. Hopefully coated with two part clear. Hence the cash flow issue I current am experiencing.

Here she is in primer. Gonna be metallic silver with white racing stripes. Not sure if I am going to put the racing numbers on her yet. As the wheels go, thinking aluminum outers with matte black centers. The ones I have for mock up probably wont get used. Fordsixty, you asked for pics so here you go. This is the strating point and not sure houw much detail will go into it yet but it will have a wired and plumbed enginge compartment.

JOEY SALDANA BUDWEISER WoO SPRINT CAR
chris coller replied to chris coller's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Yeah most of it. I did use most of the original chassis jaust added on the down tubes and front bracing. As you see it is WIP with some distance to go but being laid off helps a bit with time. Now the tricky part ........ahhhh the cash to get what I need to finish the dang thing! -
Alright now that I have the more than one photo post thing squared away. Here are some pics of my favorite sprint car drivers 08 Sprint car and a list of pieces and parts I used. Updated the chassis with styrene rod Photo etch sprint car detail set from MAS also MAS nitrious solenoids for the temp and oil gauges RB Motion rod ends for radius rods and shocks all held together with bolts from RB Motion Headers, wheels and tires from the Parts Box Body panels scratch built from sheet styrene with a nascar style racing seat that will have a racing harness put into it Scratch built oil tank from K&S tubing and sheet metal with detail master straps Braided line from Pro Tech, fittings from Detail Master with crimp beads for the lock collars Now the only thing that sucks is everything is matte black so it is hard to pick out detail. Hopefully the folks that attend the NNL EAST will get to see the finished project. That is my goal as I have a few other projects to get done some will be posted on here. Thanks for viewing!

Yeah , that is the host for my pics. Thanks for the comments and I will work on the focus grasshopper!

This I built almost 2 years ago as well. I grew up going to local dirt tracks in PA so hence my fondness for sprint cars. Would love to do an east coast modified but if I am going to do it I want to do it right. So here you go. I will be posting more pics soon. Soon a s I figure out how to post more than one pic per post.

This is a Fujimi kit painted Tamiya TS-8 and polished out. Also used were photo etch pieces from accu-stion. Let me know what you think. This is an older build as well and the pics is so much better.
