  1. I have never seen this kit before. Interesting choice of build topics. I like the fact it comes with the details as well. Is this a current release or is it discontinued? Will be watching with interest.
  2. I'm on the east coast. I was on Hiroboy due to the fact it was a recomendation by a fellow builder. I have absolutely no complaints. To be quite honest I have recieved better service from them than some of the aftermarket places here in the states. I will have to try Scale Finishes. There seams to be a few folks on here that use there products with great results. I will be honest though, most of my bodys are sprayed with rattle cans. Who says you cant get a good consistant finish with a can? Just limited to colors. Thanks for the tip!
  3. It is a curbside. If I can get some interior shots I'll post em. The emphasis is mainly on the body so the interior is rather simple as far as the detail painting goes. I had a paint issue and this build sat a while till I decided to get motivated to finish it off. So I am glad you guys enjoy this build. Thanks again!
  4. I have an Enzo to do. I would like the SMS superdetail set but everytime I come across one the financial thing comes into play. I was checking out Zero piants on www.hiroboy.com to see what other FERRARI colors are available. Just not sure what color. Any suggestions? By the the Enzo probably won't be started anytime soon as I got about 7 or 8 projects to do before that comes to turn. Thanks again for the kind words.
  5. I do slot car bodys from time to time. This beeing a model builders website this question might be trivial. So here it goes! Is there anyone who is looking for slot car bodys to be built for them? Or perhaps knowing someone who is looking to have bodys done? Do mostly pro stock and racing subjects. Looking for a little suplimentary income. Being laid off sucks!!
  6. The funny thing is, I don't have a bench. My work space is in my living room on the floor in front of the television. People ask me how I can watch TV and work on my models. Call it creative caos. I do my best work watching hockey. I don't know how to explian it, if everthing was quiet I would shake like crazy and wouldn't be able to concentrate. By the way I gotta replace my living room carpet. Good thing I am capable of doing that and don't have to pay the labor as I have a flooring back round! Thanks guys for the words.
  7. I know what you mean about the fit. I was gonna throw the 429 from the 70 Boss Mustang in. I had to cut some of the inner fender well out to make sure the headers would fit. Looks mean as hell with the big blok in there.. Just shoy to much clear to soon and it caused some of the silver to streak if you will at the right rear fender. Just annoys me.
  8. Here it is 308 GTB. I picked it up fo around $12 at my local Hobbytown. About the only time I will by from them is if they have kits on blowout. Painted Italian Red and cleared then polished out. I used Turtle wax rubbing compound and Meguair's auto wax. It came out ok. Red and black are the hardest colors for me to polish.
  9. Revell kit with minor mods. Just added a chin spoiler and small rear spoiler. thought it added a little more flare to an otherwise gorgeous car. Photo etch grill and and I added some down/side bars to the roll cage. Pegasus wheels with some photo etched rotors and resin calipers cut in half to do all four corners. I decided to make it curbside becase of some paint issues I am not happy with. The 429 will just have to be put in another mustang. So here you go.
  10. Gotta say that sucks. I am in the same boat as alot of you as well. I've been laid off since December 1st. I have been in the flooring business as an installer and a salesman for ten plus years. Two of the last three places I worked at I was laid off. So I completely sympathize with you all. The crappy part is I can't even get a job part time at a grocery store. Guess I have to be 16 or 60. Sorry if that offends some of you, not trying to do that. I just being a realist. The bottom line is the country is in need of a serious sterioid shot in the ass to get things moving! Good luck to all of us unemployed folks and may things get better soon! Help Obama, Help?
  11. Jeff, the important part is you are still building. Good to see you getting back in to the hobby. Now hurry up and finish this. I always enjoy your builds. Top notch stuff!
  12. That's what happen when I type what I am thinking before the thought is complete. How's is that? I blame it on texting. It seams to carry over to the computer skills or the lack there of. Sorry for the bad grammar. Thanks guys for the comments. I am glad you enjoy it. Just don't have the patience to post the W.I.P. info and pics. I promise to work on that aspect when I get the grammar aspect of posting down
  13. IT'S ALL BUT DONE JUST GOTTA ADD THE HYDRALIC WING ADJUSTER AND IT WILL BE COMPLETE. HERE YOU GO.
  14. Very nice and might I add clean build. Can't wait to see the other two you got going. Nice job!
  15. I am all for that if it happens. I love GT cars! Now what will we have to represent the good OL' USA, a Toyota?
  16. What is this, Randy builds a race car? I believe this is the first one I've seen you do. Anyway good job and I can't wait to see it in person on Saturday. Pictures don't do your work justice!
  17. Should be an option on your screen to edit your original post title and all when you select your post. I think that is right. It's been awhile since I edited a post.
  18. Looking good man. Good way to get rid of the builders block, I guess? I'm with Ishmael on this you cant go wrong with blue. Heck the sky is blue.........on sunny days anyway. Good job and keep building!
  19. I use a dehydrator with all my builds. The only issue I have ever had with tape on a body is tape leaves residue on the paint and is a pain to get back off. Must resand and repaint. Is it a two tone paint job? If so wait a few days or 3 or 4 to be safe and then mask off what you want to paint. Wait another 24hrs take the tape off and set it the dehydrator. Keep in mind these are my methods and what works for me. Take it for what it's worth!
  20. Here's 2 to try www.stradasports.com or www.hiroboy.com. Hiro boy is located in Europe some where's. Shipping to PA was about $16 for what I ordered. Got some paint and two part clear photo etch and some other detail products. Turn around time from across the lake was about a week and a half at most. Great place to deal with. Hope that helps!
  21. It's a Competition Resins body from www.slixx.com. I modified the the pro stock Firebird wing due to the fact in the pictures I have seen this is more accurate. Thanks for the kind words.
  22. Pro stock Dodge Stratus. This one is going to be full detail. Afew people that builsd inspired me to do this and one has already built this car. Hope I can do it justice. Subject will be Richie Stevens Mopar Stratus. Next up is Warren Johnson's Black, Silver, and Red Pontiac Firebird. Gonna flip this on ebay as a slot car body. As you can see got it in primer right now. Last on my list as of now is I think but not sure, Robbie Gordons 2001 Valvoline Reynard. Just dry fit to gether after cleaning everthing up. Gotta say I was dissapointed to see no engine in there. Feel kinda cheated but only paid $9 for it so it's not all bad.
  23. Ok fellers and ladies here is my update on the Saldana car. Tell me what you think. Next time you see it will be under glass or at THE NNL EAST. Here you go!
  24. Very nice, very nice indeed. Good choice in the color scheme.
  25. Nick on the C9 I built on the Scale Motorsort templated sheet everything got carbon fibered . Havent seen reference pics of the real car so dont know if that is true, but the sheet says so. Good luck!
