  1. So I am putting a Corvette GT car together and got ahead of myself. What I would like to know is how can I get the decals of the doors after they have been applied with out ruining them with the ability to reuse them?
  2. Like to help out, but just not sure what you are saying.
  3. Try searching Big Donkey Resin. Larry deals in all things modified from flat heads to fuel injection style cars. From bodies, wheels, tires, and engines. Hopefully sprint car parts coming in the future. He is one of the best casters out there bar none with great service. He is located in PA and offers great service to go along with his products. Check him out!
  4. Thanks guys for the info. That web site was awesome.
  5. Has there been a car of this year produced in either a plastic kit or a resin body. I would be interested in a resin conversion as well.
  6. What do you use for rear wheels(rims)?
  7. That's what's up! I missed yo u at the meeting this month. They all look great Cruz.
  8. Can anyone tell me where I can find Butterscotch Pearl to paint this car with?
  9. I will be there as well. Nothing to have for competition but some works in progress. Painting slot car bodies has kept from doing much building.
  10. If you can find the the bottle of Tamiya primer thin that and shoot that through your airbrush. I found it at my local hobby shop' You get the same results as you would out of the can. Tamiya primer is the best most versatile stuff I have used.
  11. Alright, I decided to start building again after a little over a year of painting slot car bodies. I bought the Scale Motorsport super detail kit at the NNL East last year and was amped up to build the car. After some mulling around over what car I wanted to do I decided on the Le Mans 2008 Corvette. Nice little project to breakout of the slump. I have purchased Colorado decals for the car and I must say they are very nice. I was skeptical as I have never heard of them. I was pleasantly surprised when I received them in the mail. What I have so far is the inner interior tub and wheel wells carbon fibered and cleared, the body painted Velocity Yellow with the black accents, along with engine cover carbon fibered as well. I plan on having this and My A.J. Foyt Copenhagen Lola indy car done by September for the Super September Showdown in Gilbertsville,PA. Here's to wishful thinking. So here is what I have so far...............
  12. Is it worth the $60 price tag? The body lines look awesome. I have been wanting one of these just need some different decals options. Looks good so far. I will look for it in the Under Glass section.
  13. Always liked that car. I still have the one I did bout 12 years ago. Nice work on the car.
  14. You are a little north of me as I am outside of Reading. Take Cruz up on his offer, he is speaking the truth. I am also a part of that club with the talented builders and cool people. If you have any questions feel free to ask me as well. You will find a wealth of information from the guys on this board. Good luck and welcome back to the hobby.
  15. Yeah I am a dirt fan. Born and raised on dirt track racing in the North East. You may have seen these builds on www.scalesprints.com
  16. Alright I am going to throw my hat into the ring here. I have had to dealings with the man. First one not so bad but waited a little long for my order considering it was an "in stock" item. Not to big of a deal as I got my project finished. Now on to my second experience with Don. So I paint slot car bodies for guys and it so happens one of my customers wanted a LX Mustang. I thought this is gonna be good based on what I have heard from credible fellow club members, slot car guys and my conversations with Don. I said to my customer to have a back up plan. Well this is how it goes down. Contact Don about the "slot car " package he lists on ebay. Quotes me a price and tells me what else I need to finish the car. I was like cool let me get with my customer cause he was on a budget. Get back to Don told him what my customer said to me about the price ($65 for the body, rear window, "correct tail lights" and front bumper)now I did some math and the guy was including shipping costs on all the additional parts not included in the auction. I call B.S. on a $15 vacuum formed window and say I will make my own. He fires back saying "good luck" and " you must be a better modeler than me". I just laughed and that was the end of the conversation at that point. I post on this site are there any other options to the LX Mustang as the the individual I was dealing with I didn't want to deal with due to him calling my 19 year old customer a "cheap ass". He then proceeds to email me and call me about removing my post because it was detrimental to his business. I agreed to do so and thought things were okay. But the more I thought about it the more it bothered me. I just don't like being bullied or talked to like that. I will say this and this is not something I do, I have seen his work in person at the NNL East a few years ago. He does not build museum quality models, he is not a quality resin caster. Now mind you these are my opinions and a mans reputation speaks for itself. Those who know are much wiser than those who don't know! Take my experience for what it's worth. Remember "modeling is meditation".Right Don and Darin?
  17. I would like to know how folks have come the conclusion of what the built is indeed "pro built"? That gets me everytime. Send one of these builders a message and see if you get a response. I tried it once and got nothing in return.
  18. Do you happen to do custom orders? Will you be doing any other pro stock parts?

  19. Do you have plans on selling these to the public and do you have plans for any other "pro stock" items? Been looking for some parts to finish my drag car project.
  20. Reliable Resins body is a bit wide to me. Was at the NNL EAST on Saturday and came across this vendor Morgan Automotive Detail (www.madmodeling.com. They have a Notchback LX Mustang that is 1/25 scale. Check them out and yes you won't need to be as good of modeler as certain folks or pay $15 for a "vacuum formed" rear windows!
  21. Your avatar says it all Mark! Some others feel that way to! Why post if you don't care? Anyway my club is the "Broadstreet Bullies" but not so much bullying in hockey anymore. I do love the skill it is played with though. Go Flyers and get your goalie situation figured out. In the off season go out and get a proven stud #1 goaltender. For the love of god!
  22. Simple solution................ get rid of the instigators. This has turned into a mickey mouse forum from when I joined a few years back. All the know how and talent people have yet all they do is use this for a social forum(which it is)I would like to think this board has the best "builders" and "people" on it, but sometimes it turns into a pissing contest. As far as this "resin guy" or that online store this or that I know it is difficult to curtail those situations. I will say this though if it is a particular "vendor" that has known to have "reputation" than maybe not let that person participate on your forum and anything to do with "them" be removed. I have seen a lot go on on here over the last year or so and it drives me nuts. Still not anything like the dram that goes on at a certain slot car forum, but that is mostly comical to me. This is a bit more serious because it is a turn off to a hobby that I enjoy that has actually kept me out of trouble on a few different occasions. Just build already! SHEESH!
  23. Decal coating? I am having issues with Revell's Summit Firebird decals. THey are very thin and tear easily. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
  24. Which kit has the seperate chrome trim for the body? Or am I thinking of the 57 Chevy?
