Where did you find it?
-
Not sure it will mater as the bottom of the car is simplified as is the engine for the most part. Now does anyone know where I can find engine pics? I can find tons of reference for the car itself but nothing on the engine compartment.
-
Jeff, I tend to think it is because of the name that is attatched to the builds. Is Paul Hettic or something like that. I have never heard of this guy and I have been reading both magazines for 10 yrs. The other one longer for obvious reasons. Beats me

Okay now to the serious stuff, how much does a set up like that cost? Inquiring minds want to know. -
So Who Has The Popcorn Now?
chris coller replied to Bruno's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
The above post is what I am talking about. If she has blue eyes than that is the winner right there! -
Yeah this car is sweet. The one thing I don't like about it is there is a real one (1:1) at a business in the town I live in and proportionately the kit sits to high and is to narrow as my astute obsevartion(keep in mind I am in a technical school now so my eye for detail has expanded ha ha) The goal is to have the car done by the NNL EAST. Jeff, are going to grace us with your presence this year. One of the best shows around with some of the best. I think you would fit in well there.

It amazes me how much attention people get for puffing there chests out , having a hissy fit, and taking their toys and going home. This guy should start a political career. He would have everyone going what is he gonna do next. We would probably be in big trouble though if he had any position in office. But he would probably fit in well with the other "knobs". I don't get I I cam on here and told everyone how I felt about anything, life, politics, the economy, my views on certain people, women, what have you. I would probably be thrown off the board. After all this a model site, right? We all should contribute, try to be open minded and have fun. I don't receive a lot of attentention on what I build. Do you see me on here calling people out and whining and crying when I get ignored? All I am trying to say is this a hobby and as far as getting paid to build, it's nice but not all of us can make a living doing it.

So Who Has The Popcorn Now?

6ft is to ###### tall for me. But I like the brunette direction. They seem to be a hell of lot more fun.......wink wink. You make her 5'7" With some good body lines and we are in business. If you need reference consult me I can add all the input you need! -
I know guys like this all bark and no bite. I was trying to make a point that is all. He just needs a few years to grow up a bit. Cage fighting is an awesome sport and I enjoy watching people beet the tar out of each other. Kinda why I love hockey so much. Plus it takes the most skill out of any sport to play...........hands down!

THE WICKED CLOWNS WILL NEVER DIIIIIIIIIIIE! I saw these guys in concert along with Twiztid, Biohazard, and Coal Chamber. Was my first concert at the best place to see a show..........The Electric Factory in Phila,PA

Ok after doing some research and finding this car unresistable to build I decided to go ahead and give it a whirl. Hobby Design has this kit in resin and want an absorbant amount of money for it(around $240 shipped)So I will test my abilities as a modeler. I started with Revell's version of the R8 ($12 at AC MOORE w/ coupon) I cut out the side intake vents, removed an area in the hood for the cooling vents, also cut out the areas behind the rear wheels for air flow/down force. Extended the front fender wells like on the 1:1 car. I robbed parts from mt Mercedes CLK (the wing, wheels/tires) The seat is out of a Ferrari FXX. Here's what I got so far

It is all in your approach kid. Maybe try being a little more humble. Trust me when I say this I was a lot like you back in the day.One more small but valuable piece of advice........don't go callin people out. This is a hobby to have fun with not a competitive full contact sport. I will say this you do have some talent. Keep on building and I will see your name along with the others. We all already know your name from one way or another.

Very nice build. Where did you you get the rims/tires? Thinking they will look awesome on a build of mine.

CPMCC Meeting and Party pics
chris coller replied to Lyle Willits's topic in Model Club News and Announcements
Club meeting Saturday 1/2/10 11am-ish. Bring yourself and what ever builds you have. It is cool to have new members. -
You did a great job on this build. I had the kit as well, Jeff must of had a better version on newer release or something. The one I had didn't fit for anything. It was the Testors reissue of the JoHan kit. Oh well maybe I will give it a whirl again. Yours sure did turn out awesome though!

If you are looking for Tamiya paints try MEGA HOBBY on ebay. $6 a can and flat shipping on your order. I believe the cost of shipping is $7.50. They carry all kinds of kits, paints, and detail items. They are located in New York

I gotta say I love the Ferrari! What kit did you build that from? I had built a Heller kit and it was terrible.
-
Gotta say the exhaust looks awesome. I have one in the works to finish. I always was a fan of SCCA racing. Always had great looking cars for fans to identify with.

The Nascar decals from 1997 -1998 and 2000 -2002 had issues. Anything with neon colors was brittle as hell. I built an Ernie Irvin Thunderbird and used 3 sets to finish the car. Not sure about the Drag decals. The decals I have used to do slot car bodies I have had little or no problem with. Just inform Slixx about it I guess.
-
Yep I had it there. I took photos of Saldana's car at Williams Grove when the Outlaws were there. Cool bunch of guys to let me take what ever pics I wanted to.
-
My completed projects this year and a whole bunch of slot car bodies as well. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Gotta go with the general consensus on this.....................that car is beautiful. Very well done!

WANTED: 2007-2009 NASCAR IMPALA RESIN BODY
chris coller replied to Intrepid_R/T's topic in WIP: NASCAR
Unfortunately that is probably the price point your looking at. There isn't a plastic kit available and probably won't either. Rumor has it AMT is potentially releasing on next year. -
I have got top give you props on this build. You do some really nice work! Hope you have some time freed up to keep up with your customers demand.

Well since you and I are probably the only two sprint car fans on here I will gladly say awesome job on a subject most don't understand. One of the most wicked cars to see race in person. Very good subject matter and a great job to boot!
