  1. Maybe, or maybe it's the belligerent, civility optional code of conduct that seems to be all the rage these days.
  2. Good to hear about the Volvo kit, I pre-ordered it almost 2 years ago.
  3. I have a relative that was into computers from day one. He resisted the change to Windows because why would you simply click on an icon when all you have to do is enter the appropriate Dos command at the command prompt.
  4. Those are nice kits. I had to look it up as I hadn't seen if before.
  5. Any Aoshima D1 Grand Prix cars?
  6. Same dates as mine. Probably get charged duty and taxes for our trouble.
  7. Bunch of hobos working at the USPS. Tracking a parcel from Allentown Pa. to London Ont. for three weeks now and it hasn't even left USA yet.
  8. The object of this exercise is to pick one. I'm sure we all have several.
  9. Darn unidentified flying objects spying on my stash.
  10. For a period of time last year Tesla had to turn off the autopilot in parts of Toronto due to streetcars located in the middle of the road with passengers getting on and off. Gotta wonder how many other one off situations will be discovered literally by accident.
  11. I feel for the guy that has to know how to open the hood of every vehicle that rolls up to him. Went to BJ Las Vegas 2017 and it was a terrific experience. Three day pass for $45 seemed like a deal to me, especially by LV entertainment standards.
  12. Asked my niece if she would rather lose her phone or a finger. Before she answered she wanted to know which finger.
  13. Yep, I got bit by that bug.
  14. I stopped counting at 1000. I used to be just a street / strip kind of guy. Then with all the aftermarket decals for Nascar and late models I got into that. Then it was IMSA racing, then rally cars and DTM cars then it was Japanese sedans and tuners then......it was over 1000. I'd have more decals than cars so I'd have to get more cars. Then I'd have more cars than decals so on and on it would go. Not to worry though, I've been told that when you buy a kit it comes with the time on earth to build it. ?
  15. Here's my delivery related story. I have a package coming from a L.A. based hobby shop that I've purchased from many times. The packages usually go from L.A. to Chicago to Toronto. This one assuming due to the storm went from L.A. to Charlotte to Fort Worth but this is where it gets really weird, from Fort Worth it went to Toronto but today is back in Fort Worth. 16. There's an old saying that goes something like if you walk past something that is substandard that becomes the new standard.
  17. I had to do this last week to a UPS truck. He was exiting the condo complex looking down at his phone while taking his half of the road out of the middle. People here can't seem to make a left hand turn from a left hand turn lane without first entering the lane to their right by about five feet. They drive these little econo-boxes like they're driving a semi. I almost lost my Challenger this summer when I had to put two wheels on the gravel at highway speed to avoid gettng body slammed by someone coming to the right while making a left turn.
  18. Acres and acres outside of Tucson. Looks to be a little of everything.
  19. The song and the style are two different things. You cite the 1-4-3 riff, I would add the Bo Diddley beat. Songs today are heavy on studio production techniques that alter the note played to the note heard. As a result plagarism cases sometimes don't come down to does one song sound like another but rather are there similarities in the writing. They actually refer to the sheet music and compare them side by side.
  20. White Rabbit - Jefferson Airplane Time Has Come Today - Chambers Brothers Gloria - Van Morrison
