  1. SENSATIONAL! This is just shear beauty in the making, great work mate. I absolutely LOVE the colour and you did a tremendous job on the stripes. The motor looks pretty awesome too by the way.
  2. Hey Ralph, I finally made it back in here. This build(s) is looking way awesome mate, I love what you're doing. It's funny, my "stock" Camaro build (really a ZLX427 Motion car) sits in the same condition as the one you scored from a mate, front end cut off, awaiting some filler panels. Yours is far more advanced in work though and looks AWESOME! Cheers Greg
  3. Joe, those wheels are a work of art , you should feel extremely proud mate. They look sensational in fact. (need a thumbs up, insert here... ) And loving the "new" Camaro body.......might just have to save for a 1/12 one of those babies. Cheers Greg
  4. Great stuff Billy. Is this one of their smaller scales, 1/24 - 1/25? The chassis looks excellent to my eyes. Looking forward to seeing this one progress. Cheers.
  5. Scott, fantastic work mate, this project is going forward in leaps'n'bounds. Glad to see you working on your own builds, rather than just catering to us guys. (Which we do truly appreciate, don't get me wrong. ) Renewing my interest in smaller scale following this, keep it up mate.
  6. OMG! Chris, I've been away way too long mate and you have been major busy I see. Sorry for the misfortune with the tin, but you recovered like the "Pro" that you are bud, FANTASTIC work. (insert thumbs up here... ) Glad things are all going well now mate. Cheers Greg
  7. Hey, thanks so much again guys, your very welcome comments help immensely..I often need a good shove on some of these. Cliffo, cheers mate. Yeah, the back wasn't as bad as it appeared. Went to a Doc just to check yesterday (besides work requesting it ), he checked me over, made me (try) to bend over, which I managed without a hitch, even got my hands flat on the floor while standing.....made him blink I think. Cliffo, I haven't snagged a shot with the motor in place yet, but it looks to sit ok to my eye, if anything, it may be a tad forward??? Hard to find a good photo looking directly down on an engine bay. Just seems to be a pretty decent gap between motor and firewall to me? Haven't made much of a dent in things, though bench time hasn't really eased.....just tedious work.... Got a Z-bar happening......Hard to see in some of these pics, sorry. The start, drilled some 1/16 rod (? may be a tad smaller...) to accept a mounting wire. Both legs/levers added, quick coat of paint..... And probably NOT the most accurate of mounting positions....but it lines up and meets the trans ok. Underside shot shows the position more clearly. As I said, not the most accurate... Mounting position on the trans, or bellhousing. Clutch fork made from solder, flattened on one end and drilled out. And speedo cable locator, small diameter stainless tube, modified RBMotion nut added. It will of course be cut a lot shorter than that. And mt BRAND NEW FLAT hood from Mike. Thanks again mate. Rightio, may not get much done today, just about to head into big Bro's place for a Sunday BBQ. Australia Day down here today. Gotta wave the flag. Seeya all again soon guys, and thanks again for stopping by Cheers Greg
  8. Gerardo, first model?? Mate, give yourself a pat on the back, cause I think that looks terrific. Well done man, look forward to seeing your next build.
  9. Mate, that looks pretty darn wicked. Looooove the stance. This is the latest (been out for a while) kit from Revell? I've held off from getting one because of the slab sided look, but yours looks pretty good. Did you pull the sides in a bit at the bottom? Or maybe it's just a trick of the lighting...Looks great regardless, nice job.
  10. Thanks Walter. Man, that looks GREAT, and it's amazing how much neater it makes the car look. Gonna have to give it a shot I think. Thanks again mate, and look forward to seeing some more of your great work.
  11. Tim, that IS one sweet looking ride. Nicely done mate, and clean. Two thumbs up.
  12. Touche! I stand corrected. I keep telling my nephew I ain't sick.
  13. Ah, ok. I'm on the same page with ya now. Yeah, not having seen a 1:1 to compare, but I always thought these kits looked a tad on the long side? I have an old (original issue street machine version) and the latest Petty car to do one day....I'll follow along here for the ride.
  14. Hehehe Cheers Dave. Camaro updates are a little ways off yet....still need to replenish my brass tube stock.
  15. Spectacular! Super detailing on the motor , I LOVE the paintwork , and your photographic skills make me truly envious. GREAT work mate.
  16. Hey guys, thank you all very very much for your too kind words and comments. John, I think we're spurring each other on then mate. I started on a Z-bar. Still working out how it'll all come together, but it's a start. LOL. Brian, I didn't get around to contacting Revell, though I feel sure they would have helped had I asked. As it turned out, our great friend Mike (mademan) Mathers helped out in super fast time. A beautiful flat bonnet has landed already, not bad from the U.S. to Aus. Michael, headers used 2mm, or .080 inch Evergreen rod.In 1/25 speak, that scales up pretty close to 2inch. I have a bit more work done, but not taken any pics yet. My batteries (camera) died and only got fresh ones this morning. I'm on a day off work (forced...twitched my back and pinched a nerve in the lower back), so they sent me home so things don't escalate....It happened a couple of days ago (sneezed of all things ) and I reported it, so they wouldn't think I was claiming I actually did it lifting or something silly....Just precautionary on their part (work) I guess. I feel ok if I don't make any sudden moves, and that's something you can't guarantee NOT happening where I work. So, be safe...... Sitting at my desk/workbench with a cold pack strapped to the seat backrest........doesn't feel too bad. If I get time later on, I'll throw some progress up here for you guys. Thanks for stopping by Cheers Greg
  17. Ok ok.....John, stop it,.... please.....you're making me go cross eyed. Nah, seriously, I LOVE what you're doing, and adding such great photos to help us other guys along the way.....priceless. You know I'm gonna have to try and add some of this stuff now, right...... Oh, and hey, I hear ya about the "forever builds"..................I got a few of those.
  18. Welcome. And.....WOW! That has to be the best transformation I've seen in a very long time. Two thumbs up my friend, GREAT work going on there. If you had posted saying you made it from a Toyota (without pics) I would have called you on it. Simply incredible the work just to get the correct shape. Bravo!
  19. Hi Doug, a big warm Aussie welcome to ya also. Hey, don't beat yourself up too badly because you're a bit slow settling back into the seat mate. 10 years.....hey, I have some projects that have been way longer, and I haven't had a 10 year break. Yeah, I'm one of these sloooooow builders. Really really LOVE what you have started on the Dart. I have the same kit on my bench right now, working between it and a Cuda. Keeping it all Mopar for a while. I kinda like it in the green/black vinyl top configuration, specially with the turquoise engine block. Looking forward to see how this one comes around for you mate, GREAT stuff.
  20. Art, I'm a little late to the party, as per usual.... But man, you have some wicked work going down right here...The paint and flames are just too kool. Your attention to detail on the injection is second to none, and the Halibrands....they just look real. I honestly took a second blink at them.
  21. Nice start. I had one of these kits at one time.....kinda wishing I'd held on to it now.
  22. Fred, that is one stunning looking build, I likes it very much. Particularly like the way you've done the engine, just enough detail without going over the top. And your paintwork looks truly amazing.
  23. Nice progress Walter. Hey, if it's not too much drama, could you add a pic (front on or from the top) to give an idea of how much you trimmed down the guards?? Been thinking of doing this very same thing (guards/wheel openings) but am unsure, as I don't want to get them mismatched. Keep up the great work mate.
  24. So.....are we allowed to "speculate" or use this as a kind of "wish for" thread too?? Just thinking aloud once more, but seeing as Revell do often listen to us guys, having just released an ALL NEW tool of the 70 Cuda (after years of not having a proper version)... Does anyone think that in the foreseeable future (close or distant) that we may finally get a NEW, accurate 70 Challenger????? I mean their last effort (retooled die-cast? ) was atrocious in most hobby guys eyes by what I've seen and read. I did not even bother buying one myself. And the old Amt Challenger (purple box art/convertible top) that still does the rounds on eBay is less than a great kit too in my eyes. Surely the market is screaming for a new kit? I would buy a case of them, that's for sure. Ok, standing down..........
  25. John, absolutely AWESOME stuff mate. Ok, you've nudged me over the edge.....looking at adding some extra details to mine now.
