As soon as I saw this in an ad in Kar Kulture Deluxe I went and bought the Revell kit. All I've done so far is open the package and drooled all over the parts. I just have to finish the 2 I have on my bench right now. Is that KICKA$$ or WHAT????!!!! I am really itchin to build this. I'm gonna start buyin aftermarket stuff now so when I do start I'll have everything I need. I still don't know if I'm gonna run the kit flathead or a BLOWN HEMI! I am so excited!!!! I know it may be a while before I start. but that will give me plenty of time to sort everything out in my head first. As always, let me know what ya guys think.

Clear Headlight Lenses

After looking at their site I would start at the very bottom of the page and work my way up. At the bottom they have just the size and color lense in decimals. If ya have a machinists 6" rule it will usually have the fractions and its decimal equvilant on the back for people like me who can't just look at the decimals and go .078 is 5/64". I also have a calculator that does fractions and makes it easy to scale up and down pretty easily. Oh! I see now that they do have some in fraction sizes too. -

MR. OBSESSIVE!!!! HEY! How ya been doin man??? I missed all you guys so much!! I still haven't finished the Challenger . I messed the paint up pretty bad. I've been discouraged ever since. I bought a new Badger anthem recently and have been itching to try it out. I just need to build a new paint booth. Here's a pic or 2 of the tail light box I made for my Scout project using aluminum tubing and acrylic rod. -
Clear Headlight Lenses

I think that might be it. They were aimed at train modelers. That sucks if they are gone. I wonder why. I just got my internet back and I've missed out on quite a bit. I lost ALL of my old bookmarks and I'm trying to find all the sites I used to have. -
I can't remember what company it was that made the clear, yellow, red and so on lenses. Can anyone remind me please??
-
Thank YOU Harry!! I can't believe I forgot that!! DUH! I'd forget my head if it wasn't attatched!

Is this gonna be a multi issue deal?? -
Pretty simple question. I am getting ready to order some plastic nuts and bolts, but I can't calculate what size they are in 1/25 scale until I know what size 1/4" scale is. I believe I know it, I just can't remember. If anyone knows I would be greatful.

THANK YOU J! By the way, That has got to be thee SICKEST build I have ever seen bar none!!! I saved the pics I found of it to PC and every time I need inspiration I pull the pics up! Kinda creepy, huh?? You can e-mail the pics to me if it would be easier.

THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I'M TRYING TO MAKE! I saw your pics somewhere and have tried several times to copy them. I just cant get it. Must have more details, please??? The first 2 pics, did you make those or order them? And if ya made them, HOW?? I CAN'T WRAP MY FAT HEAD AROUND THE AMAZING REALNESS!!! And yes I know it's easy, if you have done it before or not making them as nice as these. I'm working on the AMT Scout if that tells ya anything. The drive shafts are so generic. I altered the wheel base some and I have to shorten and extend them so I figured why not make them look like I at least tried to make them look awesome. I just need some ideas. Not criticism. If thats what I wanted I'd go to SAE!
-
I might have to make my own drive shafts/U-joints for my current project and I'm wondering if anyone has any tips or tricks?
-
I jsut now realized the date this forum was started... OOPS. That is one sick ride though. I wonder if there would be any R/C rims and tires that don't happen to look like R/C rims and tires. How sick are the lights.

Theres always a critic. I live in indiana and thats how us INDIANA boys do it!!!

THANKS FLETCH. I am ready to start that next project now. I need to hurry up and get the 2 I have going done. I know alot of people have tons of projects all at once and can finish them all. NOT ME. I have been workin on the same 2 builds for over a year now. The Challenger is stalled until I get the nerve back to paint it and the Scout is just waiting for some more parts I need to order.

That blower is nice. I'm gonna order one today. Does anyone know his e-mail to contact him or is there any other way to order from him?
-
I gotta say, that is a beautiful ride. As a matter of fact, my next build is gonna be that kit. I see lots of cutting, chopping, fitting, gluing, and learning from many mistakes in my future. The build will be based largely on a rat rod with some (by some,I mean ALOT!) military flare to it. I have a pic of it on my photobucket page. I can't remember if I have the link on here or not. Here it is: http://s133.photobucket.com/albums/q59/abedooley/ Builds like yours excite me. ABSOLUTELY KICKA!@!!

Is that the new revell kit?? You made that look like there is no problem at all!!! I have BIG plans for the revell kit. Nevermind. I can see the pic now. Is the revell kit better?

I ordered the Detail Master PE general engine brackets and it came with no location or identification guide and I was wondering if anyone would share some pics and advice on where these go and whats what. I'll put the pics of the brackets on here tomorrow. Still dont have my internet back on..... Hopefully I'll have it back on in a couple of weeks. I sure do miss chattin it up with everyone. Ayway, pics would be especially helpful, that way I can copy them to a disk and take them home with me. THANKS ALOT GUYS!!! ABE DOOLEY

I am using Solder wire. I did try that with the screwdriver, but I was using brass! Aluminum makes much more sense. I think I was using brass because that was the only thing at the time that would fit snugly over the tubes. THANKS ALOT GUYS!

I have tried close to six times to make some header collectors and I just can't get them to to the right shape around the pipes!!!!!!! Does anyone know how to do this without wanting to kill the cat or kids????? I have tried the shrinkwrap and its just not convincing enough to waste my time on, and I have seen people use metal for the collectors, but I can't seem to track them down, so I beg for your help now........ PLEASE HELP ME.

Got the Chrome T's on now. Internet is shut off til I pay the bill, so I'll put the pics up as soon as I get the chance guys! Thanks everyone!

The wheels are DEFINATELY getting pitched out. I just had them on there for mock-up. I am going to lose the mirrors..... Mirrors GONE!! And.............drum roll............. Bear, is awesome enough to send me the wheel package I was waiting on to get this done. I tell ya, this spot has THE best people I have ever met. Even the nastiest person in this spot is nicer than anyone I have ever met in person. Bear is a prime example that there are still people out there who do nice things for complete strangers. So many things have held this build back from being finished. Thats the last thing I'm waiting on. All thats left is to shoot some paint and do some minor touch-up work. Thanks for the kind words everyone..... Bear, Thank you. And the colors will be 2-tone red up top, black down below. I think the color scheme is the only thing that hasn't changed a hundred times in the last 6 months.

I debated the location for HOURS!!! If they don't go there, they'll come off completely! I want it SMOOOOOOTH!!

MORE PICS...... BEFORE.... AFTER.... HOPE YOU GUYS ENJOYED....
