  1. You're right about that. I have what's left of a can of MCW Marina Blue left over from the '67 Caprice, as well as a bottle for th air brush, which is the same as the blue I used on this '67 Corvette. If I can get the paint job to come out like the Corvette, I will be a happy camper.
  2. That's it in a nutshell.
  3. Sorry Tyrone, When I made the grille, I just envisioned what I wanted, and started cutting up, super gluing, marking, cutting and sanding sheet styrene until I got hat I wanted. Of ccourse I have doing this for over 50 years, and I have a couple of friends who are expert fabricators to draw inspiration from. There are no pictures of the work, and honestly I cannot tell you too much how I did it. Ain't that right Bill?
  4. There are a few 4-Door Fords in scale. Missing Link Resin '64 If you can find one, a Hubley '61 Which is the quintensential Mayberry Squad Car, and what I plan to do with this one.
  5. I love it!!!!
  6. Beautiful!!!!
  7. Ok, it's on then. In previous years, I did this '61 Sedan and this '67 Sedan. I have a '60 convertible to rebuild, a partially built '63 Sedan, a '64, '65, '66, and '69 sedans to choose from. I'm chomping at the bit, and one of the '66's I have is going to be White, with a Burgundy interior, in honor of my father, who had one in that commbination.
  8. I'm leaning in that direction, if I can find the paint in my basement. I bought some for this, If I got enough left over, I'll give it a shot.
  9. I decided to do a couple of things different with my Revell Camaro. I decided to do it as a RS/SS, by scratchbuilding a grille surround to use with the Model Car Garage photoetch, which I am going to use, as well as scratchbuilding the parking and back up lamps used on the Rally Sport option.. I also upgraded the standard intereor to the "Deluxe" interior trim seats and door panels. I plan to put it in primer this week, and if everythig goes as planned it will be painted this weekend.
  10. Magnificent!! Looking at this one made me pick up a glue-bomb to cut up. No pics yet.
  11. You know I like that one. My daily driver is a 2002 Silverado which is a dead ringer for the Box Art model, and I plan to do one just like it, one of these days. This is my truck's alter ego. The roads here aren't smooth enough, nor casn I justify the drop and the wheels on a one-to-one, but in scale my imagination can rock on. It took quite a while for me to do this one. I know your's is gonna be a killer.
  12. Let's say a year from now, and anything goes, as long as it is a Lincoln.
  13. So, are we in????
  14. I'm still working on this one. She's not done yet, but pretty close.
  15. I love old gluebombs. 1960 Buick Invicta Convertible Before working... Done.
  16. I'm not competative either. I just like the subject matter. How about a Lincoln Continental Buildoff, and include the 58 through the '60 just for fun of course, and I can restore this bad boy.
  17. Hey Al, Would you like to have a suicide Lincoln buildoff? Since you are getting the '69, and I have a few, and would love to do one. Maybe Chris ,Steve, and anyone else would like to get in too.
  18. That is beautiful Al. I only wish that you would have used a set of '61 Lincoln Wheelcovers on it.
  19. The roof drip rail contour on the Revell '65 Chevelle was my pet peeve concerning the kit. That's why I did this with the first one I built. It is a very nice kit otherwise, and I am going to do one as intended, with the corrections to the roof, one of these days.
  20. If you get the '62 Buick Up-Top from the Modelhaus. You should also get the '63 Buick Windshield Header, and '64 Buick Vacuumformed Glass from the Modelhaus and adapt them to your Cadillac, as the windshield header on the JoHan '64 Cadillac Convertible (as well as the '63 Cadillac and '63 Olds Starfire Convertible) are completely wrong for the convertible. Johan simply used the same header panel from the Hardtop kits.
