  1. Looks good to me.
  2. Tim, That is looking pretty nice. If you are not doing anything this Saturday, check out our club meeting in Greenbelt. I would love to meet you. If you have any questions or are in need of any quality building tips feel free to come on down! Here is the link to our club. www.mamaboyz.org Just ask for me. I'm not hard to miss.
  3. Excellent!!!!
  4. O-K here's my '63='64 Chrysler Builds. This '63 300 Convertible was a real glue-bomb when I started on it. I rebuilt the cowl and the windshield frame. I had to cut the firewall from the cowl, which was glue-welded and busted. Fortunately it was not painted, and most of it was there when I re-built it. The previous owner did not attach any of the custom appendanges. I painted it with 1963-4 Chrysler Sequoia Green, with a saddle bucket seat interior. I know some of my friends here do not like the 23" wheels I installed on her, but the beautful thing about this one is I can install a set of 15" wheels and Chrysler wheelcovers on it any time I want, and take it back ro factory stock. 1964 Chrysler 300 "Silver Special". I got this one from the same person I got the '63 convertible from. I was well glued together, but not a glue-bomb. The wheelcovers were melted on the edges, so I sacrificed another set of wheelcovers for their edges, as these were very rare. The paint is Tamiya silver, with a Model Car Garage vinyl roof. This '63 300 is my favorite. Originally, I was going to do it as a Letter Car, but when I stripped the previous hideous dark red paint job, it came out so clean that I did not have the heart to do any further sanding of the body, other than mould line cleanup, and repairs from some of the custom fins that was glued to it. I hope that seeing mine will give you an idea of how good these cars can look.
  5. Al, no matter what your decision as to the direction you are going with the build, I am quite sure that the result will be quite nice. That '67 brings back memories for me. One of my neighbors had a '67 Chrysler Newport in the Dark Teal color, while one of my paper route customers had a '67 Dodge Polara Convertible in the same color, but with a white top and interior. When I restored this one, the color was a no-brainer. I have another one, that is a little more worse for wear, as the previous owner glued the glass into the roof, resulting in divots in the roof. I may either do the vinyl roof, or make a convertible out of the next one.
  6. This one was a resin copy that was marketed by Model King several years ago. I did a "quickie" build to it, whereas I used parts from the AMT '57 Ford to finish it. All of the "Chrome" on the car is either Bare Metal Foil or Alcad. When I first opened it, I wondered what I was getting myself into, but believe it or not, once I cleaned everything up, and adjusted the parts for fit, it went right together. I used just about every trick I knew to build it, but I was happy with the result. In my stash, I have an R&R '58 convertible, that keeps peeking out at me, saying "Go ahead. Build me. I know you want to." Looking at these builds, I may have to get to.it.
  7. The combination you are speaking about will be outstanding. I think the '63-'64 Chryslers are so cool. I restored a glue-bomb '63 and a '64 hardtop several years ago, and I have convertibles to build. I don't want to hi-jack your thread with my restrorations, so I wont show them here.
  8. Sharp!!!!!
  9. I did that years ago, when Revell first brought out the '67 kit. It is workable, and looks good too.
  10. As someone who built one of these kits, as well as a owner of a one-to-one in the real world, well done!!!!!!
  11. I like this one. I just saw one of my Little Red Wagon kits in the stash this morning, I plan to build one in the future. Mike, I'm quite sure whatever your decision, the build will be great.
  12. When I was doing the master pieces for the Replica Stock '66 Malibu Wagon (in the background), I sent a set of 1966-67 base Hub Caps to Replicas and Miniatures for the trans-kit. Norm should be able to whip up a set along with some steelies that will fit on the Camaro. You would have to Alcad the caps yourself, as Norm does not offer chromed parts at the present time. If I were doing a base Camaro, I would use the AMT kit, with modifications, as the work would be far easier. At the present time, I am building a Revell '67, and while it is a superior kit in terms of detail, the AMT kit is far easier to assemble, and you do not have to scratch build a hood, nor source a small block V8 engine.
  13. Bob, That is looking great. I was going to do the same thing with an old glue-bomb old tool Ranchero. When Revell brought out the new tool '57Ford, there was no doubt in my mind that I was going to do it as a Ranchero. I have several of the kits, and have yet to build one stock.
  14. Being that this kit is a Phantom, I am a litle leery of using this one as a basis for a replica stock wagon project. While it looks nice, it would take quite a bit of work to convert the GM roof to a Ford roof, even though the "B" pillars are close. I know that Model Car World Resin does the '64 Comet wagon, which is closer to what you want to do that the Flintstone body for such a project. Even if you just purchase an extra interior tub from Dave, and use that as the basis to do the model, using the modified Flintstone body.. Modelhaus offered a front bench seat for the t-bolt kit. The seam between the seat backs should b puttied for a 4-door application, but it should work.
  15. Excellent job!!!!!
  16. Looks to me to be a standard height 12' Grumman Step Van with the standard 38" rear doors. I would love to do one in the standard aluminum finish.
  17. Those old Revell multi-piece 1960 Corvettes were nice kits. I just depends on how much work you want to put into it, and how much detail you want. I built the twin to that one myself about 30 years ago.
  18. That one brings back memories. I sold quite a few of them over the years.
  19. Excellent!!!!!!
