  1. Shane- It was a pleasure seeing The Hollish Bros. car in person it was awesome. It looked better in person than what it looks like in the pictures. Did you win anything at Tigerfest because i didnt remember if i did i was too busy looking at the other models or checking out the vendors.
  2. Heres my finished product it was basically a slap together i had laying around that was collecting dust for 2 years and now its finished. She brought 3rd place at the Tigerfest show on saturday.
  3. This is my haul from the Tigerfest show on saturday. This is what i got from Matt Leblanc for 25 bucks at Tigerfest.
  4. Thanks for the compliments guys its all finished and its been relocated to the Under Glass section it must be a world record for me to finish a model in 7 days.
  5. Heres another stalled project of mines thats been stashed away for over a year so im determined to get this one finished for the Tigerest show on saturday. I'd painted it with Dupli-Color Bahama Blue that was intended for my 66 Chevelle Wagon but everything went wrong with that build so im finishing this one. The engine is gonna be a Chevy 348 ci from a Revell 58 Impala kit and added a set of Caddy wheels from a Revell 49 Merc kit.
  6. Heres my first finished product for 2010 im entering this one in the Tigerfest show thats Saturday two days from now. What ya'll think.
  7. I wanted to let everyone know theyre will be no progress on this build because i'd stepped out for a second to get something out of the shed and found my 3 year old nephew grabbed the Challenger and hurled it against the wall litterally smashing it into pieces the body is totaled all thats left is bits & pieces. I'll find another one to replace the one that got smashed.
  8. Joe- If youre using Dupli-Color white primer my best suggestion is i would go with a Dupli-Color paint since that primer is a acrylic lacquer. And Testors paint is an enamel. I use all of Dupli-Color products theyre very awesome and they have a great clearcoat. I use the Dupli-Color Auto Spray & the Truck, Van & SUV paints which you can get at any auto parts supply. What color youre painting youre project because white primer is good for light colors & white.
  9. Heres another long, lost project of mines thats been a doormat on my shelf since 2007. So i'd kept looking at and figured why not finish it. I'd laid some paint on it yesterday with Dupli-Color GM Charcoal Gray Metallic. Im still deciding on the engine since i got rid of the kits 428 ci CJ engine i could kick myself for that. I was leaning towards the Boss 302 thats from a Revell 70 Mustang. I'd added a set of slotted wheels from the Arii 73 Challenger kit.
  10. Since the body is soaking in the diptank due to the 3rd paint attempt getting ruined i'd figured i show ya'll the completed interior & frame so here goes. Once the body is painted i'll show ya'll that one too. Im trying to get this one finished in time for the Tigerfest show next saturday i'll make the deadline tooth and nail on this one.
  11. Heres the latest on the VP Challenger i finally have some paint on it for the 6th time i'd used Valspar Gloss White which can be found at Lowes. Im close to having this one finished for the Tigerfest show next saturday. All thats left is adding the nick-knack pieces i ougha have this one in Under Glass section before the weekend is over.
  12. Heres the latest on the VP Challenger i finally have the body in paint for the 6th time i'd used Valspar Gloss White which can be found at Lowes. 15. Im in a slump on whats a good body filler or putty for a model car. If anybody can tell me what works best Any Suggestions!
  16. I'd picked up on some Dupli-Color paint from Advance Auto yesterday i couldnt pass up on this deal. The "Truck, Van & SUV" paint was $3.30 a can these are $ 6.49 a can at regular price & the small touch-up cans were $2.75 a can and go for $5.29 at regular price. I also bought 2 cans of their Sandable Black Primer to prime a hood for my bros 92 Chevy Z-71. Those 2 cans were $ 5.19 for both regular at $ 6.89.
  17. I'd got a bag 'o' decals from a club member from last nights club meeting. What can i use to salvage these decals these were from the 60's these are some cool looking decals. Any Suggestions Please!
  18. I'd picked up some Dupli-Color paint from Advance Auto Parts which i'd heard about they had a sale through this great forum. The big cans were $3.30 the regular price for these cans are $ 6.49 thats half the price and the small cans were $ 2.75 the regular price $ 5.29 talk about a deal which i'd couldnt pass up the colors i'd picked out was Bahama Blue Metallic & 2 cans of Sandable Black Primer .
  19. Heres the latest on the VP Challenger i'd redid the body due to a paint attempt that went horribly and now shes ready for paint. The 440 from the 70 GTX is just about finished except for few nick-knack pieces i'd used a set of exhaust manifolds & the fan belt assembly from a Revell 69 Charger kit. The breather is gonna be from a AMT 71 Duster with a scratchbuilt base. The undercarriage is just about completed except for the driveshaft. I'd used the exhaust pieces from a AMT 69 GTX & a Revell 69 Charger and the tips are from a AMT 70 Corvette. Im trying to get this one ready for the Tigerfest show on the 27th so im pressing for time on this one and two other projects. Wish me luck, guys.
  20. The paint that i'd used on the Bee is Rust-Oleum "Metallic" Copper which i'd bought from Wal-Mart its right out of the can. It can be also found at Home-Depot & Lowes.I didnt have any problems with it i'd primed the body with Valspar Primer Gray which is an enamel. This is some good paint i'd would recommend this to anyone.
  21. I'd decided to go with the black C-stripe so it wouldnt look too plain jane. What ya'll think.
  22. Heres the latest on the Wagon i'd made a few changes along the way such as grafting a cowl induction hood scoop from a optional hood from a Revell 69 Nova kit and used the kits SS hood to do it, added a set of rallye wheels from a Revell 68 Corvette kit and parts box tires and also chucked the small block and went with the kits big block that was in my 64 Chevy C10 Pickup. I ougha have this one repainted back Bahama Blue once i get another hot day im getting this wagon done by the 27th in order to enter it in the Tigerfest show.
  23. Heres the latest on the 69 Coupe i'd stripped off the Orange paint because the paint cracked. Now its painted with Dupli-Color Toreador Red Metallic which looks better. The droptop i was working met its fate last night it fell off the shelf didnt know it fell until i'd heard Crunch talk about i was 50 kinds of hell when that happened. Im trying to get this one finished for the Tigerfest show on the 27th. Wish me luck guys.
  24. What about Rust-Oleum "Textured" Black i'd used that on my 68 Charger it came out just fine it can also be used on replicating undercoating on frames. Heres what the Rust-Oleum Textured paint looks like for a vinyl top. Heres what it looks like on a frame.
  25. I'd got a set of bumpers, grille, hood & taillights from member dragnut for my MPC 73 Duster. This ougha finish my "Dazed And Confused" build.
