  7. Thanks for sharing the pictures !!!!!!!! I actually got one of those in a yard sale recently . It had most of the instructions and the decals but it was loose . I boxed it up and passed itto Kitbash here in Richmond . He said there was a lot of kool stuff that Rat Rods could use in it . I think what yer doing is an outstanding deed !!!!!!!!!!! Ed Shaver
  8. I know Ken, he's very talented as to what he does . I've nearly bought some pieces from him . The only reson is simple , I'm on a very extreme limited budget from the Government . What I get a month wouldn't pass a week in a normal household . I'm licky to buy a kit or two a year . As to resin , usually one piece a year . Sooner or later , Ken's wife will sell me a 1960 El- Camino . Ed Shaver
  9. Chuck, I knew that there was reason behind you're builds !!!!! Ed Shaver
  10. Barbo, I hate to tell ya this but law enforcement has simply become an extension of the city/ county/ parrish/ town/ township/ and provence tax authority . As for patroling for real crime , uh here I see little of that kind of activity. I see people "Baited " with radar and hefty fines ! Oh stay out of Virginia this week-end too. Theyre loose ........... Ed Shaver
  11. Merc, somewhere, I remember a monument being done with some of the guys in Field gear as they were in Nam . I havent returned to D C after I left in 1976. I actually lived in that slum for a period ! If I can find the monument , I'll send it to you . Ed Shaver
  12. Jim , remember , you bailed me out what with the supplies for the Twin Chimney diorama . George , thanks for the picher of the Rambler ! It's makes C B a happy ladd! Rick , thanks once again for the batteries an such . Thay're on shelves in the Twin Chimney diorama now . Ed Shaver
  13. Mark, I dunno what ya done to make that Turkey look like ya did , but it really looks downright presentable ! I have that kit , as yet unbuilt . I probably will cut it up for parts . The top and the rest of the body are to me a miserable trip on L S D ....... Oh I used to own a 1-1 Bonniville too. Ed Shaver
  14. Craig, the problem of "Canned air " or propane is the varying pressure problem . See, the propelliant when it comes out freezes the can , thus causing a pressure drop. Me , I have a used airless compressor . They run new about 100.00. I got a badger single action air brush from Michiaels and it's broken down one time . Un less you really need to do Fog paint jobs , T- shirts and the like , a single action brush is going to do a great job. I think a badger from Michiaels is around 80.00. That could be a lot less as Michiaels is always running a 40% coupon in the Sunday paper , well at least here they are . Ed Shaver
  15. I dunno, mabye I'm a large minority , but yes , I would go just to gain a "reaction " to what I build . I took the Shell shaped Shell to a N N L just over that venue . I figgured if it played well in North carolina where in the city where the real station was built , then it could be a contender . Since I had a decent reaction , I decided to go whole hog and do an I P M S contest with it . Look , I P M S hates non military and especially cars here in Virginia . Ed Shaver
  16. Jason , with a slight "Grey / Black " wash, that Kitty Cat will come alive ......... ! Ed Shaver
  17. The name , Nameless Nationasl Luminaries is to me a great venue to gather and show , brag and perhaps learn tecniques that you never ever thought possible as for building models of any sort . I know of one show coming in august in the Winston Salem North Carolina area , Carolina Kustom Modelers has this one . I have to tell ya , it's a great deal of fun , just displaying and seeing how you're work stands againt others . Heck , ya might even get into one of the magazines even . In addition to that , the resin guys actualy bring out their wares ! You can see for you're self what is and isn't acceptable . Old kit vendors , hey looking for an old annual , ya liable to even find one at one of these shows . So to give K-Dog and his gang a plug , take the plunge ! See the "REAL SHELL SHAPED SHELL STATION ! " See Ken an his wife with his newest creations from Bandit resins . I bet ya won't regret it . Ed Shaver
  18. I vaugely remember Car Life magazine I think featuring this car . I have a book currently called American Dream Cars by Mitchel Frumkin and Phil Hall- Krause publications . Ed Shaver
  19. Definetly more project than I would ever care to take on . That G M C shouldn't be too terribly hard to find at a show . Considering the factthat A M T's R C re-popped it not too long ago . I wish ya the very best , I really do. Ed Shaver
  20. I dunno, the 5.0 litre small block found in Revell's 1932 Ford Sedan has possibilities . At least ya can raid it for a late model automatic transmission . Ed Shaver
  21. Sam, you have no idea how popular that sand color was back in the day . I remember that Beige being as popular as the Dk Blue metallic and the medium Steel Grey . Thats a good combination for a convertable as air conditioning was relitively un heard of in ANY car . Now Nash was an exception but, ya need to see one of those Early Kelvanator units up close too. Nicely done Bel Air . Ed Shaver
  22. Rick, I gave ya a P- M . If ya need my personal E-mail , I can pass it along . From building that kit myself , I found for the most part that the instruction sheet for the most part was on the money. Exterior colors were very limited . Just remember , ONE tail light ! The headlight bezels were body colored too ! Ed Shaver
  23. You're Panel delivery reminds me of Yosemitie Sam , noted van customizer from the 1970's . He did a similar "Slant- Chop " on a 1975 Chevrolet van . Interesting piece you have . Ed Shaver
  24. Jason, take your time ! The truck so far looks great . Ed Shaver
