  1. Yep its the old A M T circa 1961-2 Buick Special and then 1963 Chevrolet Nova wagon trailer we all adored back in the day. Scott, AKA Capt Bondo extrtoidinaire sent me some plans last year . Anyway , for an up comming service station thats yet to be done I did the trailer using the patterns he sent . If it's too dark I'll re- shot this turkey and re- post it . Ed Shaver

  3. Very realistic work sir . I can see some real talent there , keep up the nice work ! Ed Shaver
  4. Ron , nice to see that you're paying attention to some of the advice I'm trying to pass along . I looked at the lift very closely I might add. Well done ! I think you have captured the essesence of a " Teauge " station very nicely . Ed Shaver
  5. That Halibrand Rear looks very nice as well . I bet that is a good selling item too ! Ed Shaver
  6. Hey gang , I may or may not have seen this posted but a product called Goof Off is always nearby me . I buy the lighterfluid size cans at Home Depot and Lowes hardware to get rid of acrylic paints that somhow embed themselves in brushes . Soaking a brush about 30 seconds generally does the trick . It also works welll as a cleaning agent in air brushes too. Ed Shaver

  9. In the 1970's , I was a manufacturer of Custom Van accessories . These trade shows allowed us the manufacturers to actuallly greet and lobby wholesale distributors and some invited guests as a result . Allowing the print media was also important as they themselves could be swayed to look at your products and write a favorabile review . The internet today is simply an end means to spread the " Print Reviews " around electronicly . Now lets see whats new for 2010 ! Ed Shaver
  10. I think you all should consider a Country squire for a runer up car . I bet they would sell well . Ed Shaver
  11. Sam , thats exactly why I'm doing many of these stations ! Too much of what made America has gone GENERIC ! Remember the Triangle Filling station ? Well that was a prototype for Pure Oil in Chicago . It was also a unique way to get gasoline stations iinto residential ares that would't allow the other non conforming stations to be built as well .......... Ed Shaver
  12. Ah yes , it was an attractive car , no doubt ! I had a Delta 88 Convertable myself . I really shoud have done a full restoration on it but there was a serious lack and still are no avalibile replacement parts for these cars . Cutlass parts on the other hand are readily avalible . I think both cars were well built and given the chance , I'd buy either one today . Ed Shaver
  13. Calling Misters Alfred Sloan , Bill Mitchell, and Harley Earl to the front ! Ed Shaver

  18. Ken, I cant really say any one automobile really inspired me to do models .......... Actually it were several cars. Take for example , the Futuresta from Daryl Starbird on the cover of Car Craft Magazine - June 1963 , Bill Cusenberry's Shillouette , the 1967 Impala , The beautiful 66 Bonniville , the sinister 53 Studebaker , The grace of a 1932 Caddillac V-16 ! Any of these fine automobilles were to me true pieces of artistic expression . I wanted to share in that experence and to do so , I built the model . Ed Shaver
  19. Do you know I had to make two pots of coffee to make all those little oil cans and then paint ever last one to match ? An George 53 sez I need meds , HUMPH .......... Ed Shaver
