  1. Ben , the few of those Jaguar Saloon Mk 7's? Iv'e seen here in the states were real classy cars . You really don't see that car too much here . The few that I have were immaculate . The diorama is very nice what with the shaddowy lights and so on . Well done ! Ed Shaver
  2. Pauli the second group of pictures , wow ! What scale is the vice and the figures and the rest of the tools ? If they are 1-24-5th scale who makes them , you ? I enjoyed seeing that stuff. In fact it would look nice with anything Ive done to date , ex ( Amoco Projek ) . Ed Shaver
  3. Pauli, maybe i'm missing something here as I am involved myself with exibits and archectural models and the like here but what exactly are you trying to convey here ? The model looks nice , I just don't see the end result . Ed Shaver
  4. Arron , I think Ken Kitchen was working on a 300 six. I went and took a 235 from a Chevrolet and then modified the intake and exaust to work on the opposite side . See, the physical size of those blocks were nearly identical in scale . As to building the valve cover , I took a block of EverGreen strip and made a valve cover . I have the factory shop manuals going back to 1957 on the C O E's let me know what exactly you need as I can copy out and mail the stuff to you . I used to drive a 72 Ford C-600 with a Catipiliar engine in it so the differences are minimal . Sorry I didn't have the aircleaner off , if nessesary I can reshoot the motor and show it to you that way . Ed Shaver
  5. Hummmmmmm, reminds me of Death race 2000 , Mad Maxx , and Robo Cop together ------- interesting build . Ed Shaver
  6. Harry , I'll take a " Step - Down in Black to go please ! Ed Shaver
  7. Peter- Bill, ya'all are toooooooooo much !!!!!!!!!!!! Ed Shaver
  8. Simon , I saw your answer , thank you . Maybe I will try some as Im currently using a lot of P P G products and R- M stuff. Ed Shaver
  9. Randy, ALL ECONOLINES from 1969 had the I - Beam set up . I should outta know I owned a business that manufactured Van accessories and I have owned Four 1969 and 1970 Ford Vans , two 78 Ford Vans an 83 Ford Window van and almost bought a 90 model . Ed Shaver
  10. K T , I remember seeing this a while back . I liked it then and I still like it now ! Ya done good ! Ed Shaver
  11. Simon , who is this rainbow 10 and is there a address I write to or exactly what does someone do ? Ed Shaver
  12. Gosh , Ive already done that to several of my replicia stock builds . What era car do you want to focus on ? Should they be Post war , Muscle , trucks , S U V "s - what ? Ed Shaver
  13. Glad you found something you liked ! Meanwhile the 1-1 car was akin to Elvis Presley ..... too many Peanut Butter and Bannna sandwiches for me . I always prefered the 1965-6-7-and 8 Impalas ! Ed Shaver
  14. I would say that the F-350 and the F-150 Supercab truck models that came from Monogram , then Revell are decent . Finding a re-issued F-350 dually may be difficult as they generally got built to display with big trailers . Ed Shaver
  15. Quite reminessent of Mustangs here in Virginia sir ---------- very ! Ed Shaver
  16. I was impressed with the re- designed front end , ( La Salle ) . That in itself with a period Flathead would make me break out of my " Stock Replicia " mode . Still , I'm very turned off by Revell's almost COLLECTOR PRICES ! Ed Shaver
  17. Peter, I know you have been at this project for several months . Looks like you're valiant efforts have finially paid off! I just hope you dont have the electrical issues that the 1-1 's do ! Be sure to carry a flashlight when ever you go to the country estate ! Ed Shaver
  18. Wayne , I beleive your long awaited efforts finially paid off . The water certainly does it for me , thats it's over the top feature . Putting something like this at an I P M S ........ well , get there early as the diorama tables generall hold small " Vigineette " stuff or 11 X 14 . Dioramas like we build arent generally the norm . Thank you for sharing you'r story , I for one have enjoyed the build ! Ed shaver
  19. Manuel , the tank truck actually placed first in Richmond Virginia's Old Dominion Open about four years ago . It didn't do anything this time . Seriously , the competition was very very stiff this go round . I saw a nice variety of models and I hope that I was able to share the same with all of you here at Model Cars Magazine . Ed Shaver
  20. Steve, thank you for the response to the " Fun in a box " kits . Ed Shaver
  21. John, Glen Beck , conservative radio talk show host is always making light out of wrapping ones head with Duct tape . You sir actually did the unthinkable and then did it ! WOW ! meanwhile , I reinterate what I said in my P M to you . You'r e in a place where you should be teaching College art classes . Seriously you really need to call me on tne phone and we will discuss this . Ed Shaver
  22. I'll second C B' s remarks ! Ed Shaver
  23. Your work is improving Nicholas , keep it up ! Ed Shaver
