  5. Ernie m ya ole coot , yer always full of suprises ! I can't take advantage of what you have this time as I don't have a working printer . I consider my self lucky to even have a working computer as most of the time , it's down over something . Anyway , you have a good Christmas an stay offin the Black Canyon Freeway ! Ed Shaver
  6. Hush , it's supposed to rain even more Sunday and next Tuesday too ! at this rate we'll tie Houston for a high water table ! Ed Shaver
  7. Looks fine to me , but then I'm an over the hill hippy . Ed Shaver
  8. Thats something you don't often see , ( The piano hinge garage doors ) That style of door wasn't often used as the heavy tracks needed to support such a door were indeed cumbersome . I rented in such a garage for years and there was a Greek Revival Atlantic service station here that can be found on the web using this stle of door . Keep us posted of this interesting project too. Ed Shaver
  9. John, I remember that kit from YEARS ago . It had some flaws like the shallow interior tub. Overall and considering the tools and dies of that era , it wasn't too bad . I dare say you could just drop in Revell parts without some modifications though. That's just my personal take on the subject..... Ed Shaver

    32 Ford's

Yes I dared the unhinkable, combining a A M T chassis , engine with Revell parts ........... Ed Shaver
  11. Uh , ya'all realize that it snowed in Houston of all places today ......... Sposed to hit 26 degrees tonight too ! I can tell ya from living there , Thats very miserable and cold as the Gulf aint but 18 minutes away in certain places ! I owned a business there for years . We think it's cold at 42 degrees ! Ed Shaver
  12. 59 Ford's wow, thats starting to make feel real old as I used to work on them when they were common on the roads ! Ed Shaver
  13. I know I attempted a couple of airplanes with out sucess. Tne first car was a result of A M T and Ford having a contest to promote floor traffic into Ford showrooms in 1961 . Henry Ford II was friends with A M T's president and pretty much , thats how Fords always had engines and the Chevrolets didn't in 58-60 annual kits . Anyway repeated story short , I ent to the nearest Ford dealer being Richmond Ford still on Broad street in Richmond Va and I received a 1961 Ford Thunderbird convertable , just for showing up ! It was a regular $ 1.49 dollar kit just like the ones at the hobby store . Molded white and loaded with customizing parts ! I built it stock . The hurricane Agness took it as well as every other kit I had collected to that point in 1973 . Anyway , I can only tell ya the were washed out to the Atlantic Ocean . Ive spent the years since trying to replace several of the more " Noteable kits " like a 1962 Buick Special wagon for example . Ed Shaver
  14. I envey ya man . Here in de " Land dat Time forgot , Richmond Va. we get one club , the INTERNATIONAL PLANE AN TANK SOCIETY an it's sooooo boring . heck they rol oer ever time I ever brought a gas pump model to a chapter contest . We get one contest a year and its aircraft themed. No wonder I came to ya'alls contest two years ago , I wanted somebody to actually look at my stuff ! Ed Shaver
  15. Very very very very very nice !!!!!!!!! Ed Shaver

  18. Charles , I bet Daryll is proud of you ! Then too, I bet Dennis Doty would like to see this one . He published the old Model Car Journal back in the 1980's . He writes now for Collectable Automobille Magazine . He was always in love with the Predicta as he did an extensive article on that car once . Ed Shaver
  19. Most ineresting car . You certainly never see these every day . I'm curious though as Jo- Han once kitted such a car back in 1962 . Sure looks like A M T managed to salvage the body mold from the old Jo- Han tool . I may be wrong though ............. Ed Shaver
  20. Harry, Kevin was warned about trading ANY THING ! I'll listen to what he has to say even tough I may not always agree with what he has to say . That's why they call me a Libertarian ! Ed Shaver
  21. What an unusual build there ! please keep us posted as to the progress on this car/ truck ! Ed Shaver
  22. Aaron , I looked at the program last night and now this neat drawing ! Way kool , I wish you the best , keep us posted on this project too . Ed Shaver
  23. Squiddy , use the liquid latex sold in the local craft shops to the railroad model builders . I have also used Red Silicone sealer with mixed results for one piece molds too . Ed Shaver
  24. Greg, that wonderful ! I think it's great when someone here spreads some good news ! Stick to it my man and remember , A BALANCED DIET IS EVERYTHING ! that comes from Radio Talk show host , Dr Michiael Savage . Yes, he's the same talker who runs down Obama an hiss Minions too George. Ed Shaver
  25. Yer right Chuck , I hit the wrong key , it should read " C " -600 , As to a Quad headlight system , that would make the truck you played with a 58 to 60 model . Ford only used the quad headlights a couple of years . Ed Shaver
