  1. Eric , any time you can win any thing from I P M S , consider it an achievement ! As Ken ( Floridia Boy ) said . They are the "Rivet Counters " as a Tidewater Auto model club quoted to me yesterday . I've had to fight tooth an nail to get ANY RECOGNITION from I P M S for ANYTHING I have done ! I do not nor do I have any wish to get into ANY airplane be it a model or a 1-1 plane for any reason ! Ya done well !!!!!!!!!! Ed Shaver

  5. Heck , I see why it broke down ! You were using a Clymer brand repair manual ! I have to tell ya'all they be some of the worst , most useless books I've ever laid eyes on ! Since they were at one time the only thing I could get to diagnose a Chrysler Van , I thought I would nearly lose ever hair in muh head. Luckily for me a fellow Chryler person came to my aide as the so called repair manual was only good for changing the oil ! Ed Shaver
  6. While I never knew him , I knew his work all too well ! Please pass my condolences to Bud's family someone ............... Ed Shaver

  8. Chuck , look VERY VERY VERY VERY CLOSE AT A 1950 Ford F-1 truck ................... you see what I'm seeing ? Now go raid a 1936 Ford coupe for fenders . The mudder tires come from several either resin casters or truck kits . Common wheres yer sense of imagination ?????????? Ed Shaver
  9. I remember seeing one listed about 1993 in " The Other magazine " . However it was a almost out of business caster that had it then and it was a two door . If any body does one today I would think it would be those wild and wacky guys at M C W paints . Give them a buzz! Ed Shaver

    T Time

Terry , did you really have to tease us what with all that REAL A M T NEAT STUFF ? Common , I want the Double T back as much as a lot of the rod guys do but since A M T Has burned so many bridges so many times over the years , well it's not a done deal for even the " New " A M T anymore . Ed Shaver
  11. Very Clean , very nice build ! Ed Shaver
  12. James , the point I was trying to convey about ANYTHING made by Vulcan is the fact that their stuff in the real world of towing is well DANGEROUS! look Ive been in the wrecker business for mabye twenty yerars . I have been an owner as well as a installer for both Holmes and Century . My former partner in the last wrecker business had a Challenger , very similar to a Century but a lot less Heavy duty . Jerr- dann can lay claim to being the first off the block with the Aluminum beds back in the late seventies . I think they always made a quality product . I also was impressed by a novel idea they had once , a spring loaded set of tandem wheels for their Roll - Backs . . The problem with all the Vulcan equipment I ever HAD to drive or work on was the fact that the design as simply flawed - PERIOD ! I simply don't trust anyones car on anything manufactured by Vulcan . I personall have nearly lost cars off one of their " Eagle - Claws " Their " Strapless " wheel lifts in the early eighties were yet annother example of novel put not yet practical engineeering ! Now some of you long time posters here have seen my work in wreckers so I can scratch build anything I want to replicate . Ive offered plans to build a Roll Back wrecker before using the Monogram / Revell F-350 Dually truck as a towing vehicle . I can make these same plans avalible to ANYONE here on the forum . P- M me and we can get together . Ed Shaver
  13. Should ought to make for an interesting build ! I love being DIFFERNT ! Ed Shaver

  16. In my estimation Eagle Claw/ Vulcan equipment shoudda been banned YEARS AGO ! Ed Shaver
  17. First Mr Model truck , PLEASE POST YER REAL NAME AT THE BOTTOM ! I like to address someone by their real name sometimes . I''s an old school thing but hey...... The diorama looks outstanding , really who ever ya are ! Ed Shaver

  19. Barticus . I use the Grain of wheat bulbs manufactured by Curkit Industries . they make wall sconces , plugs table lamps , 20 awg wire , electrial conduit tape and several other items . I dont currently have a current address for them but , I suggest dollhouse collectables .com They have everything I'm buying locally from a doll house vendor here . Course too, I realize that you being in the U K that there is the Customs mess and the money difference too. I deal with it every time I send to Canada For something . Ed Shaver
  20. " Wheres de Beef " Clara Peller ........................................
  21. Don't some of ya'all wish A M T would re- issue the 61 Ford F-10 with the trailer , the Ski - Drag boat , and of course the 62 Buick Special wagon ? Ed Shaver
  22. I'll have a 12OZ BLACK , in a non biodegradeable Styrofoam cup and make sure it was made in my lifetime ! Ed Shaver
  23. Very inventive what with the lighting and all ! I thought I was one of the very few to incorperate lighting into my dioramas as I generally want the audience to look inside them through the windows . The only sugestion I could offer is using a " Grain of Wheat " bulb as they are a little large , about three mm. Rice bulbs are a little more than two . You could take that and adhere it to a piece of cardstock to make a shop type droplight . Other than that , you show a remakeable amount of talent ! Ed Shaver
  24. Dave , I still have that magazine . Has it really been ten years ? Iv'e sure enjoyed the issues ! Ed Shaver
