Buck , there are a couple of routes you can go to including using "Finely strained " real dirt . In the past Ive mixed Flour along with acrylic paints to re- create mud . Ive of course used the Woodland Scenes stuff found within Michiaels Art Supply stores . You could use ground up styrofoam mixed with Acrylic paints too if you needed some real coarse stuff. . As for rust , Iron filings immersed in an Alcohol solution make the most realistic rust I have ever seen . Ed Shaver

So far, my first and last experence with ANYTHING Trumpeteer was the 1960 Bonniville Ht . I only bought one on account of my owning a 1-1 example years ago . Since that horriffic experence , I hesitate to do business with this dubious company . Bart, that Jaguar..... what scale is it and does anyone here on M C M know if somebody like me of course buy that kit here in the states ? I used to see a friend down in Houston who owned such a Jaguar. Oh it was such a fine riding automobile too, it was gunmetal Grey . I was so ennamoured by the beautiful veenier on the das too. Charlie , you forgot to mention the Ford/ Autolite ignition systems back in the sixties when the A M X was new . They also used both Autolite and Holley Carburators . Even before that Borg Warner built transmission components for both the " Twin Stick " automatics and their manual boxes . I have to tell ya , I used to work on these cars back when they were relitively new . I liked the styling of the A M X , I just never could get the down payment money together . Ed Shaver

Phill, two words Silk Screen ....... yep make the stencils , screen the sheets using enamel inks and you have a very attractive decal thats perminent . Ed Shaver
