  1. I think the "Kookie " T would be a big hit with we Seniors out there ! One of the things I do is catch 77 Sunset strip on ME TV each week day morning . I have to sort clothes , make coffee and breakfast for my youngins cause they have an Hour ride to school . So Model companies , put me in fer one , PLEASE!!!
  2. I want to see the Transaxles able to withstand the abuse . Then I want to know why manufacturers can't use them in daily drivers . Seems to me , the transmissions on FWD go out in record numbers as opposed to RWD vehicles
  3. Len , NOT to my knowledge
  4. Casey, I guess I'm lucky . I had access to a 1962 LWB Unibody F-100 with the base back window . I can honestly count on one hand how many Optional "Big Window cabs I've seen . I'd HATE to be the poor Glass installer who ever gets to install one of those windows because the chance of finding another would be dinner at the Academy awards banquet !
  5. Casey, first , thank for taking the time to show a comparison . I guess I can overlook the wheel arches a lot more so than the Boo- Foo ed box interior . At 30.00 , I'm a whole lot more choosy rather than 2.00 even in 1960 spending power. It's too much for me to dissect the box to get what COULD have been done correctly . Revell is just as guilty , look at their 1965 Chevrolet's .
  6. I remain jaded . Te inside of the PU box is not close to the 1960 annual which was near accurate and could be made even more so with some flat polystyrene at the base on the inside creating the double wall . Usually , the "Custom Cab also meant the large back window . The Chrome grille package usually meant the side moldings . This kit has NONE! Uh 30.00 for a Go cart which dosen't even have the Bonneville Shell , Uh I'll pass
  7. Come back an tell me of your kit collection when you have to carry a spiral bound note book to log all the various kits you have . I had this many in the 1980's . I'm planning a cross country move in 2020 and I'll wind up renting a full size Pods cubicle just to move kits .
  8. Steve , Mark Orr, aka Disabled Modeler sent me a partly assembled one several years back to replace the one I lost during Hurricane Agnes we had in Richmond in 1972 . I had all the annals from 1959 onward . That floor kept us out for three weeks . When I was allowed to return , there was NOTHING , I mean NOTHING to salvage . The stench was overwhelming . I managed to save a couple , a 64 Ford Galaxy and a Ford Ranchero ......
  9. I could say all the annuals to about 1970 and then there is the one , the ONLY , the Monogram Futuresta .
  10. Jim, if yer coming East during the holidays , the Crossroads will be at Lewis Ginter Botanical gardens as a part of a doll house display in Richmond Va . If ya have a face book account . pictures of all the exhibit will be kept current at the art Forms design page https://www.facebook.com/Art-Forms-Design-717064124996145/
  11. All of the dioramas i have done for myself are stored in boxes between shows . I build mine so as to allow the base separate away from the building . This latest diorama , The Crossroads Coffee house is really going to need a separate storage room
  12. Greg, tell everyone I now have a table just for the crossroads model and that I'll be there .
  13. You might be surprised as to how many I have met who are desperate enough to pull this stunt .
  14. Speaking from the standpoint of being in the automobile collision business and auto restoration business for decades , what is the difference ? As long as the person I sell a car to dosen 't say they were the person responsible for the rebuilding , I have no qualm
  15. Mike , BEAUTIFULLY SAID!!!!! I see the armchair engineers here with little time on their hands and sweaty fingers ready to apply hate in the model boards haven't stopped since I began focusing on my Facebook account the last couple of years . While they toil at pulling their calipers over a millimeter of plastic , I'm out measuring 90 year old service stations in hopes of getting a decent slot in an Art museum
  16. Revell did a multi piece bodied kit about that time
  17. Patrick, I swear , it's hard to say what exactly WHAT was on Jo-Han Henille's mind . Most of the customs I saw in the years Jo_Han models were around were so very cartoonish compared to Monogram who had Daryl Starbird , AMT's Barris and Revell had Ed Roth
  18. David , the furniture I buy for my exhibits is really 1-24th , or HALF inch scale . I can't afford FLUBS!!!!!!
  19. That top photo of the Customized Cadillac is HARD on dis ole woman'e eyeballs , PLEASE take it away !!!!!!
  20. Brian is quite correct in this ! I belong to a specialty "Half scale " doll house face Book group . Most of what I already scratch build is 1-24th scale anyway . If you still need my help , just give me a P-M and I'll do what I can
  21. Steve , I know the Model A's that came combined with the Rolls Royce kits were Olive Green . the Rolls Royce bodies were molded in Red
  22. Shucks , you would have been time and probably money ahead to have simply gone to a Wal Wurl or craft store and bought some 1/4 inch foam core .
  23. The title says it all ! This was the reincarnated Crossroads Coffee house that opened in Richmond Virginia in 1968 . This was actually an extension of then Richmond Professional Institute's campus Ministry . In 1969, RPI merged with the Medical College of Virginia and hence the current name , Virginia Commonwealth University. This school which once held classes in turn of the century homes has now torn down whole blocks of these homes and have replaced said structures with some questionable and modernistic structures . Meanwhile , many grand buildings have been spared . The 1894 Queen Anne residence located at 1205 West Franklin street was never in any danger . This is actually the final chapter as I was asked by a conglomerate of people in 2015 to do this building in 1-24th scale . Currently , there are two events to see this building ! The first is October 20th , Saturday at the VFW Norfolk Virginia at the 26th annual Tidewater Automotive modelers show . Google TAMS , you should find details there . The second is the Holidayfest of lights and miniatures show , part of the Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens in Richmond Virginia . That show opens in the Laura Robbins Library and I'll be on hand November 23rd , opening night . That show runs to January 2019 .
