  1. I need to look into distributes this book . Thanks for sharing it !
  2. Here is the Monogram 1-24th scale Cord 812 convertible
  3. Chuck, have you considered the remote possibility of opening your place to making the Homeless and abandoned Hudson museum ?
  4. It's soooooo refreshing to see something pretty much outta the box and looking like something that really CAN be driven on the street .
  5. Sam, I'm still constructing this one . I'm doing the Fire escape and already , people have asked me to bring this one to their automobile shows this summer !
  6. Generally speaking , the Periclean Box stations you're referring to had the "Speed lines " around the top molded into tiles that were then adhered to the concrete block building . Now in the case of a Pre Fab Metal station , Shown in the 1st photo , the Speed lines were actually part of the exterior sheet metal
  7. This project was requested by former co workers of the former Crossroads Coffee house that was in Richmond Virginia . in 1968, I was introduced to this place and in 1969, a YOUNG piano player by the name of Bruce Springsteen also showed unexpectedly . By 1969, I found myself on the board of Directors who oversaw this 1894 Queen Anne Victorian turned Parrish Hall. In 2015, at a Crossroads coffee house re union , I was asked , then pleaded to on Face Book to do this as a scale model . The coffee house may have closed in 1983 , but memories live on . I'm privileged to be the historian for the place and I'm able to share memories of Bruce's early garage bands and other assorted memories to everyone who is a rocker ....
  8. My Gripe , Soooooo GLAD ya asked !!! Her ya go, "Sorry for the CRA--y pictures ! Hey look, if ya can post a picture here , ya can post a picture these OLD eyes can decipher what ya did ....
  9. Patrick, yes, Promos are still being made , abet FEW!!!!! I believe there MAY be a Corvette , , a Camaro and a couple of sports cars ....
  10. Greg, a "Promo" is generally considered a 1-24th, perhaps a 1-25th model car , assembled of course that is , well WAZZZZZZ given out by automobile dealers to children . Now a days , dang things are sold as COLLECTABLES in the parts department .....
  11. Going to my Olies is like an Alley dice game for me . I'll go , but ONLY if I need some cleaning supplies like a new broom .
  12. To be honest , I don't know . I bought the kit new in 1965. I wasn't what one might define as an XR-6 fan . The Ford Model T touring roadster , well now , yes I like that and I have a built one . The Tognotti T , well, I would buy that one well before , but only to get the Early Ford Model T parts to do a stocker ....
  13. I'd be HAPPY as a KID with dollas galore to have one of these back again ! I can say the kit went together very well and even when it was issued under the MPC label as a 1930 Woodie or a PU, the same can be said of those kits too .
  14. Steve , George is on Faceless book quite a lot . I know when he's not at work, he's generally commenting on some diorama on my diorama group too. If you don't hear from him in a week, let me know and perhaps if it's not insane in my office , I can call him.
  15. In addition, the 60 Chevrolet Brookwood wagon, early Corvairs , 1959 or 60 Mercury, 61-3 Ford F-100 , yep all of these !!!!!
  16. I buy kits of subjects I actually "LIKE" , or want a copy of . I've been either on a Fixed income , or Self employed for years . Buying model kits became a luxury back in the early 2000's .
  17. I'm not at all sure Gary. I'm primarily a diorama exhibit builder and seeing vendors and wholesalers going belly up certainly isn't boding well , especially for me . Hobbico leaving us has had a major impact upon me as K& S tubing , , Bass and balsa wood is no longer being restocked . I'm on indefinite BO with several other wholesalers . Round too it seems to still be ignoring my pleas to stop churning out the same TIRED 57 Chevrolet's and 32 Fords . At least Model King was Fresh meat with the Imperial , the Comet and a couple of others . I'm gonna go throw glue at another building I'm doing in preparation for a large fall show ....
  18. Sorry, but I don't feel like joining YET ANOTHER Plastic model forum to see something , what a RIP .......
  19. My suggestion is to look closely at Mr. Obsessive , Bill Gerry's work he did on the IMC Cougar II . Bill took a junk hinge and of course re worked it into something very usable and sturdy ....
  20. VERY impressive !
  21. Miles , all I can say and I'm NOT trying to be "Flip" but look at some anatomy art videos .....
