  1. I've seen Mustang, Box Art , Tri five Chevrolet , too many more to list . I don't build for theme contests as I'm too busy doing commercial work . I enjoy photographing many of the entries though ....
  2. Bob , yes , most AMT kits of this era had the wire axles .......
  3. Both of these Boat conversions are wonderful folks !!!!!!!
  4. I always love seeing these Annuals done up right !
  5. I can see how it became a favorite !
  6. When I saw your "Tipper " , I was reminded of the company ! I built this company's Tank truck back in the very early 1990's as a display for a Hobby shop. I never saw another one of these until now . VERY WELL DONE JOB on something a lot of modelers wouldn't touch being as it's not plastic .....
  7. I'm building a model of a 1921 Marland oil station that would be fine with your work along side in . I can see where you really took pride in the way the joints went together and that is impressive !
  8. Hott Diggity dogg! I have been scared to death to assemble the one I got years ago because I wanted sooooooo bad to do a "Customized " Ford Flathead powered inboard . I also want a purely stock Chris Craft if I can ever find enough resources to do this one as a stocker too
  9. Very good ! I say lets roll !!!!!!!!
  10. Hey Art , I don't suppose you know who might have a bantam for sale would ya ? P-M or call me .....
  11. David , I refer to Foam Core as Foam Board myself and Heavens no I love anyone like yourself who can add energy into a conversation ! With that said , I just want to caution everyone in that you need to be careful as to what adhesives one uses ! If you adhere something to the Paper face , no worries ! However , BE VERY careful in that any Cynoaccrainate glue , uh Super glue to you in Rio Linda is DEATH!!!! Use either White glue or Epoxy . Now if ya'all need my help in doing small commercial structures like service stations and dines , let me know
  12. Rod , no , I wasn't the one who provided the Blueprints . They were posted here in this area via another member . I'm happy to send tiy dimensions in a P-M . I tried several years to get people at the magazine to at least look at doing this station and was IGNORED .
  13. Being as I live for OLD Service stations , I present four from my collection
  14. Mark , you too David . the money you're going to waste on the MRC station can be well spent on enough Foam core to d something a sight more accurate and much better quality wise . Mark , I'm surprised at you especially because we have had this very same discussion on the phone as well as here . Ya'all wanna throw away a hunnert , fine . I offered this very same plan to Greg years ago and I was ignored then and I have no doubt , I'll be ignored now too. Any time ya'all want me to do a tutorial on building small commercial buildings , let me know . I'm about to do TWO buildings in 1-24th scale for a invitational show in November 2018 . One is a three story Victorian built i 1906 , the other , a Triangular service station built 1921 .
  15. Florence got heavily damaged as a result of improper packing last year at the Lewis Ginter Botanical gardens miniatures show in Richmond Virginia . As it stands , the whole thing will now have to be re built . Hopefully , I can have this re built by October 2018 as I have been invited back to participate in the show .
  16. Nice work chuck. Now if you want to dress the window frames out , I usually use EverGreen styreene strip . The best glue to use is a Clear epoxy . As for gluing a corner , you can usually sue a catalyzed Automobile filler there .
  17. Here's yet another Blast from yer past kids , Don Tognotti's King T !
  18. Not that I was a fan of this car , I actually had it back in the day . AMT has NEVER Re issued the XR- 6 for what ever reason :
  19. Revell's 1932 Ford body drop on AMT's Fenders with a AMT chassis and engine ...
  20. Bill, I wont say the Aurora 1934 Ford is a Holly Grail , but I would LOVE to own a martin & Schwartz gasoline pump like the one in the back ground . The kit itself really was a nice offering and I guess , along with the Studebaker Avanti, were some really well ahead of the pack kits in 1966.....
  21. I was given a partly built one of these by member Mark Orr. I still am in search of a complete kit or at least the Rear bubble top to complete the one I have .
  22. This so called Chevrolet Apache was first released in 1999. I'm still REELING from that one . I just acquired a 1963 ORIGINAL and because of the squirrels at RC Champions , none of the grille , bumpers , etc will fit . Meanwhile , I just hope you enjoy the mis-mash of pieces that comprise this thing ..........
  23. Bill, if I were close , I'd buy ya a lunch ! This is truly one of the most intelligent , well thought out and well presented posts here in I know this year !!!!!Thank you .
