  3. Even in the movie , The Deuce of Spades , the characters speak of Gilmore oil in a present tense . I reminded faith Granger who produced and Directed the picture that Mobil had absorbed the entire company three years prior to the scene . She then promised me that the sequel would have the correct Oil company brands as I have written extensively on this subject .
  4. This was AMT's kit in the summer of 1963 Russ. , had the mold not gotten damaged , Linburg wouldn't have gotten the 1943 Ford at a bargain . To summ this up, the 1934 Ford truck has come full circle ....
  5. Jon , I HATE breaking the bad newz to ya but this back window was Ford's STANDARD Back window ! The Optional "Big back window was a "Wrap a round affair . I still install automobile glass and I also write for the Early Ford Club of America .....
  6. I wish I could attend , jus for laughs ......
  7. I would buy one just to have another 240-300 Ford six . I have a 1978 Ford flareside as a delivery truck ....
  8. Robert , for me , ir was easy. I do dioramas and museum exhibition work. Every time I bid a job for a historical society , I did so with the intention of having many subjects to display alongside a given building . As with ANY movie I have been involved in . I had to find and build models of cars to fit within a given era . For example , in the movie love Field , I rented eight antique cars for a year to the production company . Meanwhile , I was friends with the transportation director who in turn rented at least five 1957 Chevrolet station wagons in various forms of running stages . It was also my job to acquire Suburbans with 4 wheel drive . Granted , we're talking 1-1 cars here . Still, I have several dioramas that have been on loan to various places here in the US . Models get broken . Since i don't have time to repair , I buy and build to replace . I know , I'm terrible ......
  9. Pat , do you shrink yourself in order to display these pieces of art ?
  10. The Mercury wagon mold is shot folks ! I have it on GOOD authority from back in the early 1980's too. the steel that made those kits was never intended for more than the one run they did . Norman Veeber does the figures in Resin by the way ....
  11. Ya'all are entitled to you're own opinions but the 1968 Annual boxes seemed to be the nicest examples I remember
  12. I'm blown away by most of these entries !
  13. This is what happens when you take a AMT 1925 Model T , then back date it to a 1913 and add a former horse drawn trailer . Before you "Armchair experts " go all over me , This was copied out of a book on commercial cars .
  14. Considering the MSRP will be near 30.00 , I believe my scratch building skills are superior to this . I'm gonna wait until Hobby Lobby , or some vendor goes to clearance
