  1. Finally someone answered me ! Look, when Monogram did this van , I was too dern busy running a Van Accessory manufacturing business in Houston ............... It just need one of my scale snack trays and a pair of the seats my company built The Oldsmobile has me wondering. A M T was set to have made this kit back in the late 80's and early 90's . Did someone get the tools that were cut and just finish the job ? I guarantee ya'all that the new 57 Ford has a place in several Cop enthusiasts hearts . Meanwhile , I'll be building another 40 Ford truck into a 41.............. Ed Shaver
  2. Steve , I seem to recall Johan Haneil doing a couple of smaller scale Aircraft kits back about 1968. Would these have been from that time ? I'm also told he was a great fan of aircraft himself . Strange ,he concentrated all of his efforts into doing promotional cars . Good luck on your new model company .I'm a large supporter of ANYTHING manufactured here in this country. Ed Shaver
  3. Here, Richmond Va. , it's gotten picked over now ..................Ed Shaver

  5. O K Sam , you can join us at the Early Ford Club runs now ....................... Ed Shaver
  6. I really can not decide on any ONE vehicle . Each one represented it's own unique set of challenges . The first , an R & R 1935 Ford has been one of my most challenging as I was told by Ole Ray that this was a simple drop on A M T's 34 Ford chassis . Yeah, that and a nickel won't pay ya out of a traffic jam on the Gulf freeway . The frame was entirely scratch built as this truck was/ is scaled at something in between 1-23rd and 1-28th . Ed Shaver
  7. That diorama is one piece of art ! Ed Shaver
  8. I remember A M T making such a kit back in the 1970's or so . By that time , I was too busy manufacturing Custom Van parts . I didn't go back to models until about 1986 or so .............. Ed Shaver

  15. Rob, I show even at a "FEW" select I P M S events . Problem is , my stuff in Virginia given the "Fetishists" who think only WWII stuff need apply seems to dominate the arena . Actually, the people in North Carolina are FAR and above a whole lot easier to deal with overall. can tell ya , they are friendlier , more hospitable and more open to ideas . Oh an yes , I have SERIOUSLY considered moving to the Charlotte area in the past year too. I need to sell one more house I own . Ed Shaver
  16. Gang, I built two of these in 1965 when the "Modified " tool as in tall T came out . I liked then so much , I did a couple more when the Chopped T's came out and a few in betweens using just the Cowl and a stretched chassis to do a Model T T . Trust me on this one , body is accurate as I have had access to a 1-1 car .............. Ed Shaver

  23. George , with the name changed to Caltex and using maybe some replicated Satam Pumps , it would be a Spanish, perhaps an Italian or maybe a French Texaco filling station .......... Ed Shaver Italian Manufactured Satam pump used at a B. P Station about 1959: Caltex station - Germany : Texaco station - W/ canopy , ( western region ) built about 1939-41
  24. Seb, I've just gone and re read all of the posts you made as well as the complementary posts . First , Texaco was NOT Gulf in the sense that pumps weren't made to ANY Standard , nor were they made by one company to fit a station . Texaco, like a lot of the stations such as Richfield tended to stay with a couple of manufacturers to lower costs . The Wayne #60's pictured in the photo you have were typical . Then too, you seem to have replicated a close proximity , a pair of Tokiem #39-L's . There is NOTHING wrong with anything so far . I like it and as the photographer of the book, Check the Oil by Scott Anderson - 1983 , I think I should ought to know something about the station appearance . I really should have gone and published the book , I was working on and maybe I shall ,now that Computers make such an endeavor possible . Jus build it, the crowds will applaud ! Ed Shaver
  25. Dis is a No- Brainer for the Muscle car models ............. Hey Round -2 ya awake yet ? Ed Shaver
