Dan, I still have one too. Personally, it is not a good tool to use as it creates too large a gap in the panel lines .I just keep it around along with a few other pieces of nostalgia............. Ed Shaver

Moebius? News coming up this month?
Eshaver replied to BigBad's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I'm curious as to how well a White C O E from the late 40's - early 50's might sell with both a Straight truck frame and a Trailing frame ............. Ed Shaver -
If yer as old as me , you might re- call articles in the 1-1 magazines with Budd Anderson telling us of a company called Industriomotive Cooperation, ( I M C ) He was telling us of real kool kits to come , I. E , Ford G T and of course Bill Geary and My favorite , the Cougar II. I M C shot it self in the foot with their "Fitment " issues . The overall engraving and the subject matter was great , given the technology we had then . I would love for someone to make the "Out of the Box automobile subjects we have seen in Die- Cast , one can only wish .......................... Ed Shaver

I asked the question years ago when I used to go visit some customers at a Battery Manufacturing plant in Houston where the Hardy street toll road runs today. I asked a couple what would become of the hazardous materials these batteries would cause if we were to produce these cars in significant numbers . The question was never answered to my satisfaction . Ed Shaver

Gary , Art, I have saved out all of this information as I never had very much on the big El Caminio's . I worked on several of the Chevelle sized one's , even owned a rusty 69 .......... Ed Shaver -

Fantasy chopped '36 Ford 3-window coupe shop car - Completed 10-17
Eshaver replied to Bernard Kron's topic in WIP: Model Cars
You really captured an evil look about that car, very impressive I might add. Not too many builders can do that chop and get that "Look " such as you accomplished . That car when completed will certainly be a real show piece . Ed Shaver -
Peter, if you check the history of I P M S , they were founded as a Plastic Airplane club primarily. Even here in the states , the Tank Guys , well here in Richmond Virginia got together with some folks in Washington D C and then Chartered their own A M P S or Allied Military Plastic Society which became a part of I P M S International . With that , they began to host Tank and Armor shows specifically for those vehicles . yes , most of the "Local "Tank enthusiasts do attend a I P M S monthly meeting , most will attend a Tank and Armor show as opposed to a I P M S Venue . The same happened in Dallas Texas as some of the N A S C A R guys decided to go out and start a car club under a I P M S Charter too. I would suggest you call out to any friends you have that enjoy automobiles . See if there is a way the small group of you could form such a club and then correspond with I P M S International is forming a Charter club . Ed Shaver

Phillip, instead of building a car we might suggest , you need to design a "Prototypical " that you would find faithful to what Chrysler minds were selling in the day . Ed Shaver

Michelle, is this similar to a Decoupage Clear ? Ed Shaver -
Both Dave Z and Junkman bring some great points . The Flocking I have seen to date was/ is too coarse for 1-25th . I'm hesitant to recommend it for the larger scale as it doesn't lend well to a scale project at all , to me at least . I have used Flocking to do some 1-1 work with success though . Ed Shaver

Revell 1940 Custom Pick Up--Coming Soon
Eshaver replied to Dr. Cranky's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
I built the Re- issue that was a Red plastic several years ago. Course I once had the Original Teal Stock/ Rod of years ago too. The hood never was a strong point on that kit nor were the operating windows either . I was able to raid parts of A M T kits to replace the long gone stock truck I had from years ago. Careful sanding can remove the lovers on the tailgate. The hood lovers came off easily and The side pipe ends molded with in the running boards wern't too much of a bother . Making a stock seat was a breeze . Simply fill the Pleated pattern smooth . This truck lends itself well to raiding of parts from other kits . A 59 A B Flathead can be made from any A M T kit and still "Look " right . Use yer imagination a little ! Look at the lower Left corner , the 40 Ford waits patiently against the building .
