Moving/Protecting Models from Heat?
JamesW replied to hooknladderno1's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Actually, when I moved back from PA I had an 8x10 unit at Uhaul and it was only about $40 a month. It wasn't kept very well heated in the winter, but during the summer they said it stayed right between 70-75. -

Anyone hear from Rick at Scale Dreams?
JamesW replied to shucky's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
He's been pretty busy with show season in full swing, plus he's got family stuff goin on. Sometimes he's gone for a week or more. He'll make it right. You can always count on Rick. -
Aww how sweet, Harry is gonna get us t-shirts.

So the 2 cases of Caddies and all the Camaro's were impulse buys? -
Suggestion for Shipping Model Kits
JamesW replied to RT6PK's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I've had a couple come in just paper. Only one was SLIGHTLY damaged. It was an Aoshima Accord wagon coming from Brazil. One of the rear pillars was cleanly broke, so I fixed it and the glass was shattered. Contacted Aoshima and explained the situation and they offered to replace it for me since it was a discontinued kit and not readily available in the US. -
Suggestion for Shipping Model Kits

I save every box I get in the mail that I think I may be able to use in the future, as well as the packing peanuts, bubble wrap etc. I always try to pack it the way I would want to receive it. -
Uh oh Prez, I see a rusty, weathered beater in that Monaco's future. Am I right?

I'd go Borla, that's what I have on my GA. Gives it a nice sound (more like a tuner on mine), yours would probably rumble.

I'm about as happy as I could get. This one has been on my must have list for a while, but always seemed to elude me as it went for ridiculously high prices on Ebay. So when it popped up for a decent price BIN SEALED, I jumped on it.

The only one that exists is a Lindberg 1/32 and they're very hard to find. I've been wanting one in 1/24-25 cuz my first car was a 78.

Better tires for HH Slim 20's
JamesW replied to camaroman's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I also have these. They're from the Tamiya Celica. They're quite a bit smaller than the HH wheels, so they have to be stretched over them. So unless you plan to have them cast in a soft rubber they may be no help. They're also a little narrower.
