  3. Lookin' good so far, keep us posted! Paint and foil look great!
  4. I received two sets of Black Widow decals today from Mike Herman,"Power Slide", this weekend. They look fantastic! I hope to get this car done this week and get the pictures posted. Stay tuned!
  5. Nice looking vettes!
  6. Nice, that long arm NASCAR rear end is some cool fab work! Love the paint, too!
  7. Thats really nice, I like this one. Would like to see how you sliced the trim of the donar kit in one piece!
  8. Awesome, very nice build!
  9. Here's some links pertaing to this subject, very interesting reading! http://www.57chevyblackwidow.com/ http://public.fotki.com/slimlouis/nascar/n...evrolet-compet/
  10. First of all, I messed with the front suspension, moved the spindles up, and got the stance much more aggressive! I like it! I'm happy! here's the chassis, extra front shocks, four rear shocks, differential stabilizer, and exhaust through the frame rails. Used the HD chevy exhaust manifold, and cut up the kit exhaust pipes. There are two sets, stock and racing, both have mufflers! Go figure! Also removed the spare tire well and centered the 20 gal. gas tank. Will add tie down straps soon! All thats left is foil, glass, decals, and clear! Fun build. Next post will be finished, no more till then! Link to the build http://public.fotki.com/slimlouis/dark-sid...evy-150-black-/
  11. Not yet, but I don't have the firewall installed yet. Need to do some work to get the front end down a little. Looks like a gasser!
  12. Painted! Will BMF in a couple of days. I'm not use to adding all the chrome bling goodies, either, but it's kinda fun. Closest I have built to a street car in years! Link to the build http://public.fotki.com/slimlouis/dark-sid...-/?cmd=uploadns
  13. Cool, I'm at that same stage as we speak, applying the black paint!
  14. Nice, I like 74 Chargers
  15. Interesting topic! I like to "scratch build" tube race car chassis, but I still use kit or after market suspension parts, sometimes I can scratch my own springs, coil overs, shocks, radius rods, etc. I admit I'm using the term "scratch building" very loosely. Fabricating is another vague term. So I came up with the term "Scratch Bashing"! That's what I mostly do, to get the job done! It's all fun!
  16. Beautiful car, Curt, I love it! I have a real passion for the sixties Indy cars, saw them race many times in Milwaukee. Have three of these Watson kits on my shelf, too!
  17. I love it! Old school, right up my alley. Great design and fab work, Bernard!
  18. Great looking race car! Excellent fab work and details!
  19. Very nice looking build. Great looking body work, looks flawless! I'm a real sucker for any car with aluminum wheel discs!
  20. Holy Cow! This awesome. I love looking at builds that I would never in five lifetimes be able to do! Especially on a subject matter I'm interested in! Thanks for posting!
  21. Great looking build, so far, I'm liking the suspension detail!
  22. The nice thing about "The Detailer" wash is it's water soluble. Don't like it or need to tone it down? Take a wet Q-tip and wipe it off!
  23. Thanks for posting the great story! This looks like a cool build, and I love that year of Chevies. I'll be watching the progress, so please keep us posted!
  24. Thanks, OK I will then. It might be fun to compare the three generations of 57s bowties, 50s, 60s, and 70s!
  25. Thank you for the props, Bernard, I am building my first to kits into the BW team. I have an old MPC flip nose 210 sedan mounted on a new tool AMT 57 chassis, not quite a tube chassis, but more elaborate then 1957 vintage "stock"! Do you you think I should post some WIPS on those, too? I have two of them, ones mild, the other a little wilder. Let me know!
