  1. Cool looking build! I love these Starfires! May I see a picture of what ever you used for a chassis., please? There is a discussion about these on another forum I belong to!
  2. Very nice clean build! Good looking paint. Love the rumble seat passenger, too!
  3. nice Bonneville roadster! I am partial to those old cars, especially with spun aluminum wheel discs!
  4. Moved to NASCAR section. Really don't know where else to with these! I build primarily vintage race cars and I am in a quandry as to where to post them. My last several bulds builds, either in the workbench or under glass sections received zippo response. Maybe they should go here. Didn't really think they sucked that bad!
  5. I'm waiting for my order of Revell Black Widows to arrive. In the meantime I'm trying to turn a Revell 56 Chevy kit into an early sixties Late Model Sportsman. Roll cage, safety features, gas tank, no cell, bumpers, etc, will all be about period correct for 62-64 or so. Tires were still kinda skinny back then so I am using the PPP 5759 Truck tires and the PPP six lug wheels on this one, and I'm trying REAL HARD to get them to fit under the sheet metal WITHOUT hogging out the wheel wells! What a chore! I'm tellin' ya, it's a lot easier to just cut 'em open! But I'm getting there. trial and error on brake/wheel backs, a little thinning on them, a little massaging on the body work, I think I'll make it. Here's an example of what I'm trying to accomplish.I am leaving the chrome trim on where you see it and foiling it! I hate that job! Simple cage, small block chevy, gas tank, no cell, stock wheel wells, some battle scars. Tires and wheels(3 out of 4) from ppp aquired from Fred, groovy paint and my decals coming! Next step is bare metal foil, when the paint cures more in a day or too. Decals are nearly done, need a little tweeking for size. Hope ya like it! 6. Cool, paint the hood and leave it in primer!
  7. Thanks Mark, it looks real good to me! I tried cutting/grinding it out on one 55 build and it was a real hack job. Now I just cut the whole center section out on my short track cars and fill it all back in with a NASCAR floor or the interior tub bottom, then add some bracing to distract the eye. You can take a little more artistic licsence on a short track then an early Grand National such as yours! Again, great looking build!
  8. BEAUTIFUL!
  9. This is really cool, who'da thought? Great piece of "imagineering"!
  10. Not only is this a great WIP but a great history lesson, too! Excellent period-correct build! Anxious to see more!
  11. 59 Chevy from the 1960 Season. R/M kit built up about like the real car. Almost box stock, roll cage and other period correct racing modifications done.
  12. Turned out beautiful! Love the color, stance, graphics, everything! Great job!
  13. Let's talk about the chassis, here, Mark. How did you cut out the molded in exhaust so cleanly, or is that from the R/M 56? Thanks Slim
  14. NICE!
  15. Very well done! I love any type of racing Corvettes and these are great examples!
  16. I agree with those guys above. You turned a pigs ear into a silk purse!
  17. Beautiful looking model. What did you use for a chassis, if any?
  18. I think it turned out great! Really like the colors!
  19. Great thread and recipe! I went to culinary school and retired after 30 years, the re-occurring nightmares are almost gone! Still cook daily for the family, though!
  20. Nice, did you leave the Ford Motor in it?
  21. Now thats kind cool, I like it!
