  1. Nothings changed. It's still very difficult to do. If the script is tied together, than it's easier. Here is some examples of scripts on my project files. The names tied together are simpler to print and attach. Can you imagine how long and tedious it would be to do the Belvedere name?
  2. Scripts on 3d files are not easily created because they need a backing. in other words, something to hold them together. Contacting Bill is fruitless because what you want isn't possible. I"ve been 3d printing since December 2015. I've helped Bill get started in 3d printing since he started getting into it. He's advancing quite well, but is still in the early stages. He has a ways to go before he reaches where I am.
  3. I did this very simply. Go on the internet and find wood samples of what you want.Scale them down to what you need. Print them out, glue them in and trim off the excess.
  4. I've kept busy doing files and getting the 57 Dodge ready to build. I had to put a lot of work on the 58 Plymouth dash, but it's finally done.
  5. I've considered it, but i don't know what would be use full.
  6. I've been away from the board for awhile. I had a computer problem and I almost lost all my car files. Even my backup files got deleted off of a micro sd card. My backup computer had files, but they weren't weren't up to date. I did lose some of my current files. I'm a Linux user and abhor Windows. It was Windows that caused the problem. It's now off my computer. Then my backup computer bit the dust. Luckily I got everything I needed off it before it did. I bought a new Lenovo Window machine off Amazon and got rid of windows and installed Linus on it.I then went to my main computer and proceeded to recover all deleted file. I couldn't get the recent files, bit I was able to bring what I had more up to date. That all took 4 weeks to get done. Anyway, I'm back to normal again. I've printed all the 57 Dodge files and am currently assembling it. I was working on the 58 Plymouth file and discovered it is very inaccurate. It's too bad to explain. here's the new file.
  7. Test print of the 38 Delehaye.
  8. I built my first model in 1951. It was a Guillows Biplane. In 1952, I built 6 Highway Pioneer Pioneers cars. They were the original ones before Revelle bought them.
  9. As I have said, the detail is good. Actually, it's excellent. The resin was made to print game figures so that it wouldn't break if dropped.. It has to have good detail.
  10. Phrozen RPG resin is not brittle. An emblem printed using this resin could be bent into a U shape and not break. It prints very detailed.
  11. It can only produce what it sees. It would need to have multiple reference views to do something with detail. I used the side view of a fuel pump which only shows one view.
  12. I got the final Delehaye 1935 ms coupe files from Dan. I've been working on getting them ready to print. Here's where I am in the progress so far. I've got 95% of the mobility back from my fractured wrist am good to go.
  13. Update on the 38 Delehaye.
  14. This will be my last post on this thread for at least 8 weeks. I have fractured my right wrist and unable to use it. The 57 Dodge and 58 Plymouth have been painted and chrome applied. The tail end assembly on the 315 hydra has been roughed in. The last pic is my wrist. I turned 80 y.o. last month.
  15. Use Blender. highlight the line option to the left on the tool bar at the top. High light two opposing lines on each layer. Press the f key and a face connecting them will be mad. Continue until it's done. Set face orientation to make sure there aren't any reverse faces.
  16. This is the one for the 59-61. I'll be creating one for the 383 in my 59 DeSoto Adventurer project. I couldn't say when.
  17. I do the frames for my 3d printed cars and use a frame chart. The only 60's Chrysler product I have in full size is the 60 Dodge. Here's the frame chart.
  18. Just a few things done on the Pontiac engine. Finished the oil pan and went to work on finishing the timing chain cover. Then I finished the body work on the 57 Dodge Custom royal D500 convertible and started painting it. Also , did the same on the 58 Plymouth Belevedere. Also did some to the trans.
  19. Some more done on the Pontiac engine. Added the oil canister and mounting bracket. fixed the sides and started on the oil pan. Finding reference pic's for this engine is scarce. I have to get what ever I can find to use. I did a bit more on the hydro trans.
  20. Updates for the 1938 Delehaye 135 MS and the Pontiac engine. I fixed the front corner, side and valve cover as pictured. Also, I started GM's controlled-coupling hydromatic transmission. It was produced from 1956 through 1964. Pontiac called it the Stratoflight in the begining and Super HydraMatic later. Olds called it the Jetaway and Cadilllac the 3215 Hydramatic. The file is still a work in progress.
  21. As I may have mentioned before, I need certain engines for the car files I have. I'm missing a first gen Pontiac 55-60 and a Buick nail head 401. I've started on the Pontiac and this is what I have so far. The only part that is complete so far is the head. There aren't an abundance of reference pic's for this engine, so I had to really dig deep. The head was exceptionally difficult. But, I got it done.
  22. This is my next car that Dan has started. It's the 1938 Delehaye MS coup by F & F.
  23. It's right below my name. It's a Facebook page.
  24. I have one that I created in 2017. There are people in this on this from that have 1 or more. There is a duel quad and single quad version. Follow my link below to view it.
