  1. Forget the baby moons, no hubcaps was cool.
  2. Nick, in all honest, I watched what you went through on this board in your development stage and in all sincerity, as an individual that was 19 years old and who grew up in and was living in the Detroit area in 1964, you hit this one perfectly. What a beautiful build. Congrats.
  3. This is a nice looking as well as educational build as I see it. This model is on my to do list for the current year and I definitely will mark it for future reference. Beautiful build.
  4. I have exactly 363 model cars. 270 to be built, 38 built. 25 duplicates, 20 parts cars and 10 work in progress plus my scratch built project in my avitar. I will finish them all or die trying.
  5. Enough said guys's. Let's move on
  6. OK. let's flashback to the year 1958. knowing that many of you are not old enough to do that, so pretend. There have not been many representations of model cars to date, but a company AMT emerges with styrene kits of promo he versions of new model cars. No motor, just promo reproductions. What a change and upgrade from the Revelle muti-piece bodies from a few autos presented previously. Forward 1961. Amt has advanced to including engines in their kit. Wow. As a plus, they introduce the Styline kit. A new into into customizing a model car kit. Imagine that, Something new, innovative. The reissue of that kit is exactly that. Take it or leave it, That's what it is.
  7. Thus came truth in advertising. On e-bay, I can tell you anything I want. If your ignorant enough to believe it. O well. Buyer beware. The decision is up to the buyer.
  8. Oh by gosh. It's a stock Hudson. What a beautiful sight. Nice build, as it should be.
  9. I'm going with real on this one.
  10. Read for yourselves and then decide. http://www.stangtv.c...rademark-for-1/
  11. I believe that you,o'cranky one, asked for answers from those of us over 50 years of age. That eliminates many who have responded of late. As a senior member of this forum who will reach the ripe old age of 67 on this Friday, January 13th, I will say this. Technology only effects those who have a need for it. The latest in digital photos? Say what? As stated before, take a picture, load it onto the puter, transfer it into Photobucket, post it on the website. Is it of the latest, greatest technology? Who cares. Goes it do what you intended? Does my cell phone talk to me? I don't care. I get calls, I makes calls. Always worked for me. I could go on and on, but why bother. Give you young ones 20, 30 years if you live that long. Maybe you'll figure it out.
  12. Nice job. The color looks real close to a 62 hardtop I bought in 66. I think it was called fawn.
  13. Nope. It was posted in the under glass section at the end of December. Jim did it. http://www.modelcars...showtopic=51590
  14. I've always admired your builds and wondered where you went. This is another beautiful example of you work.
  15. Have you looked here yet? http://www.oldcarbrochures.com/
  16. Try this website and see if it helps:http://smcbofphx.pro...ex.cgi?board=rs
  17. This Dave is a beautiful build. Outstanding.
  18. Very nice looking shoe box. I like it very much.
  19. I like it. Nice work on the front clip.
  20. Greg, Hemming has both the flip version on their website as well as the ability to download a PDF. They archive 4 issues back. I prefer to download the PDF as I can read it anytime and print out an article if I want to take it somewhere. Also, the mag can be accessed from anywhere you can get the internet, like a cell phone etc.
  21. Been thru Iowa. Ain't nothin good come outta there. Except me.
  22. Digital would be a blessing Greg and a jump, I believe, on the competition. I know, what competition. I opened my email last night and there were the notices that my Hemming Muscle Machine and Classic Car were ready for download in PDF format. Within a few minutes I was reading the new issues To me, it's the only way to go.
  23. George, I hate Michigan winters. I was born north of Flint, grew up in Southfield and moved up in the Saginaw area after the riots. I used to count the days between Thanksgiving and Easter. Gloomy winters with no sun for long periods of time. I can't be too hot, but I can be too cold. I actually have bad dreams about having to move back there. I love it here in Florida.
  24. We only have 1 cold day yesterday and 2 cold nights and it will be nice weather again.
