Yes. I had to work on the backside of the grille to get in to sit flush with the body. Still I thought it was a great kit.

The worst one for glass fitment has been the 61 Pontiacs. I built one of the 65 Satellite and didn't have any issue with glass. Working on the Leal Sedan now.

Thanks guys. I'm loving these Moebius kits.

Started this one 8 years ago, wow! Guess it's time to pull it out to finish it. This is how it came out of box

Not sure if I had started a WIP thread on this one or not but, completed today. Tamiya Black and Clear with Testors Nassau Blue interior. Redline tires from AMT parts pack. Kit wheels. Wanted something different than Red or Black interior. Thought I'd try Blue. I really like the look.

I'm still waiting. Any news or is this just in limbo with the selling of Moebius like others have said with the Nova/Chevy II kits?

1964 Dodge Single Headlight Grille?
jjsipes replied to jjsipes's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Thanks guys. I have since found out that the other Lindberg 64 Dodges had the single headlight grille pieces in the kit. Found one that I will be using. Thanks again. -
I seem to remember someone doing a resin single headlight grille piece for the Lindberg 64 Dodge Super Stock kits. Does anyone remember who that was? I cannot for the life of me remember who or where I had seen it.

Love it. Always liked the 60's Mopars

Working on my wheel and tire choice. From the Revell 32 5 window coupe. Will be using the chrome rings and caps. Need to touch up white walls after popping wheels in.

I picked up this sealed kit at the Carlisle Chrysler Nationals this year for $12. Primed and painted Tamiya Italian Red, brushed painted the wood (need to apply decals in the panels yet) with enamels. Used a light Tan and the dry brushed Dark Tan for some wood grain. Used Leather color for panels in case the decals are a little small for the panels. Cleared with Tamiya Clear. Debating on Black or Dark Tan roof. Interior will be Tan of some sorts.

'68 El Camino 4x4
jjsipes replied to Mahogany Rush's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
WOW that's bright. When I first seen the title of this build, I thought about the one I seen on Diesel Brothers but that was a 71 or 72. Looks good. -
Certain cars I liked lower but, not many. I like the old school look, factory height or just a little bit higher
-
Has anyone build one of these? I was cleaning and came across mine in the box. Thinking about getting it on the bench and went looking for some buildups and haven't really found many.

Thanks for the comments. It just feels good to get something completed. Don't get much time to work on a model much anymore. Most of the Maroon Impala's I see has black interior in them but I thought the lighter interior would (and does) look great with the Maroon.

Painted Tamiya Maroon with Krylon Almond interior with Tamiya Semi-Gloss Clear. Champagne Embossing powder for carpet. Wheels are from Moebius 65 Belvedere with Amt Parts Pack Whitewalls

Whoa!! Something that doesn't have Coca-Cola plastered all over it.

What base color have you all used for Mica Red if any? I have tried a Bright Red base with good results. Black has worked good as well to darken the Mica Red some. But, was wondering if anybody has tried an Orange as a base color? I'm looking for something a little brighter for a project without going into the House of Colour paints. I know some colors are affected by the base color that you use.
