  1. Love it. Always liked the 60's Mopars
  2. Working on my wheel and tire choice. From the Revell 32 5 window coupe. Will be using the chrome rings and caps. Need to touch up white walls after popping wheels in.
  3. Decided to go with Testors Fabric Tan for the roof.
  4. Thanks all for the coments
  5. I picked up this sealed kit at the Carlisle Chrysler Nationals this year for $12. Primed and painted Tamiya Italian Red, brushed painted the wood (need to apply decals in the panels yet) with enamels. Used a light Tan and the dry brushed Dark Tan for some wood grain. Used Leather color for panels in case the decals are a little small for the panels. Cleared with Tamiya Clear. Debating on Black or Dark Tan roof. Interior will be Tan of some sorts.
  6. WOW that's bright. When I first seen the title of this build, I thought about the one I seen on Diesel Brothers but that was a 71 or 72. Looks good.
  7. Certain cars I liked lower but, not many. I like the old school look, factory height or just a little bit higher
  8. Has anyone build one of these? I was cleaning and came across mine in the box. Thinking about getting it on the bench and went looking for some buildups and haven't really found many.
  9. Thanks for the comments. It just feels good to get something completed. Don't get much time to work on a model much anymore. Most of the Maroon Impala's I see has black interior in them but I thought the lighter interior would (and does) look great with the Maroon.
  10. Painted Tamiya Maroon with Krylon Almond interior with Tamiya Semi-Gloss Clear. Champagne Embossing powder for carpet. Wheels are from Moebius 65 Belvedere with Amt Parts Pack Whitewalls
  11. Got it finished will be up in Under Glass soon.
  12. Poor mans Ferrari?
  13. Whoa!! Something that doesn't have Coca-Cola plastered all over it.
  14. What base color have you all used for Mica Red if any? I have tried a Bright Red base with good results. Black has worked good as well to darken the Mica Red some. But, was wondering if anybody has tried an Orange as a base color? I'm looking for something a little brighter for a project without going into the House of Colour paints. I know some colors are affected by the base color that you use.
  15. Here's a color picture of the Topless Charger
  16. Just seen this one in June at Chevrolet Nationals in Carlisle, PA.
  17. Couple more from show. Was surprised to see this.
  18. Suppose to be original Charlie Allen Dart
  19. It was great show. Was there Friday, sunny but had a nice breeze most of the day
  20. Love the Max Wedge cars.
  21. I've always thought this was pretty cool looking.
  22. This was my highlight the other year.
  23. I've been going for 20 years+ now I guess. I usually park in the school next to the fairgrounds. My wife and I leave our house at 6am and usably get up their between 7 and 7:30. It's always a great show. I was just wondering if anybody here on the forum might be going.
