Thanks guys. I am a Mopar man but, I do enjoy the styling of the GM A bodies. Wasn't really sure what the differences were in the 68 to 69 GTO's but, I just ordered one of the latest releases of the 69 GTO to see what's in it. My father was interested in the 68 until he seen it was a street machine so, I thought I'd ask. Maybe he will want the 69 with the 68 parts once he sees my kit I have coming.

Thanks Bill -
Has one ever made an up top for the Revell 72 Oldsmobile Convertible?

No vinyl top on kit. I used plastic half round .040 in size

So, in trying to get some models painted before winter sets in in the Mid-Atlantic and thought I'd dig out my Buick GSX kit. Found a picture of a GS that I liked and thought I would try to replicate it loosely. I ordered up some paint from Scale Finishes and and Photetch set from Model Car World for badging and set to work. Used half round strips for vinyl top trim and seams. Filled the hood tach recess.

Trying to get some things ready before cold weather. Picked the Amt 69 Hurst Oldsmobile kit up this summer so, I thought I'd order up some paint and get it ready. Ordered Cameo White from Scale Finishes. Primed with Tamiya White Primer. My father says it looks to Tan but, I think it's pretty close. I also ordered up decals from Keith Mark's since they appear more complete than the kit decals

Looking great. Wish someone would come out with a better kit of a much needed model. Think of all the Hemi Super Stock 68s that could be built as well as all the street car variations

Just a little something I'm working on. Tamiya Mica Red and Pearl White with Pegasus Wheels. Have painted the interior Testors Sand with Testors Fabric Tan for carpet and trunk lining. Had to mini tub the rear and modify the tie rod end links to get the wheels to fit.

Finally got a model completed. I like these Moebius kits they have been bringing out. Great subject matters. I know see where Dyno Don's daughter has worked out an agreement with Model King to a kit of the 1965 Dyno Don Comet. Will have to get one of them when they come to market. This was just a basic build for me, Testors paint, kit decals and some spark plug wiring. Had a little problem with the front apron, grille and bumper to get it all to look ok. It was like the apron was to deep to fit right for me. Shave some off the back and fit great then. Decals were very easy to work with and look great

Haven't seen any of these yet, unless I missed them. So far, as other kitsfromMoebius have fun been, has been a fun build and everything going together smoothly. Just painted it Testors White Lacquer with Red interior. Love the stance.

Looking good

Yes it's the Polar Lights kit. Everything is molded in the interior tub except the dash. No extra gear to place in the middle cargo area. Chassis is molded as well

Trying to get my 6 year old son into models. Thought we could build Ecto-1 since he likes the movies. Picked one up at Carlisle Car show and he and I started on it but, Daddy wound up finishing it for him. He loves though.

I like bright colored musclecars and have been thinking about building a 1970 Boss 302 so, I ordered up some Calypso Coral from Scale Finishes and went to painting. Will have Black and White interior. This has no clear on it. Love this paint.

Here's a little something I have been working on for my wife. Her Grandfather, that she lost a year ago use to work for Standard Oil so, I thought I would build her an Esso Service truck. Been wanting to build one anyway, thought it would be a great time too. Tried handpainting his name on the drivers door but, need to wax it off and try again. Want to find a toolbox (that I know I have in my parts) to throw in the back.

Moebius /Model king 65'Mercury Cyclone A/FX
jjsipes replied to Mr mopar's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Just got 2 of these kits, 1 to build Beswick and 1 to build Dyno Don's. I also just received today the Dyno Don book that has been released recently. In it is a picture of the SOHC 427 engine in Dyno's Comet. I don't see any Ford Logos on the valve covers. What would be good color matches for Beswick and Dyno's Comets? Was Beswick's straight White? Duno's a factory Red from the time period? The Book The Engine -
I think someone likes Black Fords. They both look amazing. Thanks for sharing

1965 Buick Riviera Chassis Donor
jjsipes replied to jjsipes's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Forgot all about that one. Thanks Bill will have to check that out -
I have a 65 Riviera from AMT on order and remember this kit as having a molded chassis. Was wondering what a good donor would be for more detail? Revell 63-64 Impala? I know the chassis in the Buick was an X frame and that Chevy changed to perimeter frame on the 65 Impala. Anybody do a chassis swap yet?

With having the Moebius 65 Leal kit out, any chance of seeing decals for this car of Arlen Vanke?
