  1. Contact info? To make it a little easier for some of us to e-mail them. I myself, not really interested in the Nova's but the Altered wheelbase Plymouths kits are a must.
  2. Looks great. Love these kits. Have the Pearson one in progress and have 3 more in the quest to do. Thanks for sharing. The biggest issues I have seen is the fitment of the windows and grille. Looks like yours went together pretty good.
  3. Need some help identifying some associate sponsors. Looking at the 1961 World 600 Winner
  4. Next up the beautiful set of decals from Powerslide
  5. Made headlight covers and had to trim some of the kit headlight buckets to get it close to reference pictures. Grille didnt fit well, had to modify the fender lip and ground out some on top of bumper where it wraps around the corner. Made an overflow and filler neck from aluminum tubing and used the kit supplied taillight covers. Windows just set in place for now to double check the fitment. Had to work on window channels, front and rear, to get windows to fit better.
  6. It's been a while since I painted it but, I'm pretty sure it was Dupli-color Autumn Maple Met. I also used a darker red on some of the interior but do not recall what that was other than a Dupli-color. Then I used Tamiya Semi-Gloss clear on all of it.
  7. Since hearing about his death, I took to my model stash and dug this one out. I've had it in the works for a while now but, I haven't had much time to work on it. I made some time last night to work on it. Getting it closer to being completed.
  8. Any updates?
  9. Was thinking about maybe building a model of the Destroyer that mu Grandfather was on during WW II. What's the opinion as to who has the best, most reasonable priced kit? Having never built a ship model before not sure about the kits themselves. Was looking at Revells Fletcher Class. Any opinions?
  10. Looking at getting this painted before winter and was wondering if anybody knew what color the car really was? I have seen pictures as Orange and some a Reddish Orange. One picture to me looks like Fords Calypso Coral would be close which I have left from airbrushing a '70 Boss 302.
  11. Beautiful. Not too many of these have been posted. I had built one box stock and it turned out great I think. Yours is a beauty for sure.
  12. Got the body primed and painted today.
  13. Thanks guys. I am a Mopar man but, I do enjoy the styling of the GM A bodies. Wasn't really sure what the differences were in the 68 to 69 GTO's but, I just ordered one of the latest releases of the 69 GTO to see what's in it. My father was interested in the 68 until he seen it was a street machine so, I thought I'd ask. Maybe he will want the 69 with the 68 parts once he sees my kit I have coming.
  14. Has one ever made an up top for the Revell 72 Oldsmobile Convertible?
  15. Does anybody know how this kit is? Can it be built stock? Any pictures of kit contents?
  16. No vinyl top on kit. I used plastic half round .040 in size
  17. Yes but I haven't received it yet.
  18. So, in trying to get some models painted before winter sets in in the Mid-Atlantic and thought I'd dig out my Buick GSX kit. Found a picture of a GS that I liked and thought I would try to replicate it loosely. I ordered up some paint from Scale Finishes and and Photetch set from Model Car World for badging and set to work. Used half round strips for vinyl top trim and seams. Filled the hood tach recess.
  19. Trying to get some things ready before cold weather. Picked the Amt 69 Hurst Oldsmobile kit up this summer so, I thought I'd order up some paint and get it ready. Ordered Cameo White from Scale Finishes. Primed with Tamiya White Primer. My father says it looks to Tan but, I think it's pretty close. I also ordered up decals from Keith Mark's since they appear more complete than the kit decals
  20. Looking great. Wish someone would come out with a better kit of a much needed model. Think of all the Hemi Super Stock 68s that could be built as well as all the street car variations
  21. Just a little something I'm working on. Tamiya Mica Red and Pearl White with Pegasus Wheels. Have painted the interior Testors Sand with Testors Fabric Tan for carpet and trunk lining. Had to mini tub the rear and modify the tie rod end links to get the wheels to fit.
  22. Now in Under Glass
  23. Finally got a model completed. I like these Moebius kits they have been bringing out. Great subject matters. I know see where Dyno Don's daughter has worked out an agreement with Model King to a kit of the 1965 Dyno Don Comet. Will have to get one of them when they come to market. This was just a basic build for me, Testors paint, kit decals and some spark plug wiring. Had a little problem with the front apron, grille and bumper to get it all to look ok. It was like the apron was to deep to fit right for me. Shave some off the back and fit great then. Decals were very easy to work with and look great
  24. Looks great
