Sorry to hear about the lose of your mom. Too bad about the crushed kit. Good luck in your search for another, I am sure your mom would want you to finish this project.

This is looking fantastic, really nice work on the tire lettering and the paint finish. For small parts I use those reusable K-cup coffee single serve cups. The parts go in there then get tossed into the Easy-Off. Once stripped it's just a simple rinse while still in the container.

Thanks Richard. I know eh, it was another experiment, more droplets and way more paint then the simple water droplet effect.

The other side, I still need to work on a consistent technique.

Another panel update. It seems he most difficult part of this water techique is getting good size droplets. This was my final attempt of about 25 and still not what my practice piece results were. Check out the paint jar lid. I still have to do the other side and will also try it on the b-pilar. Going to try another spray bottle.

I also use Krystal Clear, it is pretty tough stuff and remains flexible once cured. The only draw back is it is water based so moisture and hi humidity environment might effect if. But no worries re your question on the handling concern.

I cast the wheels and tire's from the Fujimi Porsche 917 Le Mans kit. Nothing but trouble with this paint job right of the hop. It was finally cleared with 2part poly with a holographic mix added in. It's kinda visible in the hood shot. Just a cheap curbside kit. This was built as part of a big group build on another site. Another self learning process project.

Ha, nope, just always messed around with airbrushing and being creative with paint ideas.
