  1. I was just thinking of this earlier, I keep mine as I make notes on them that I wanna save for a future kit, just in case I buy a double of one and need to refresh myself with any problems or details I wanna make on the next one. And scaning them as a PDF is a good thing if you live in a limited space.
  2. Hell I've seen worse. Think I drove something just as bad to.
  3. what ever happened to Pinkie then,do you have it or is it lost to the annals of time?
  4. I know some of the facts are flakey to say the least but it's nice to find A article or two somewhere online.
  5. Lindbergs 1940 ford is on that list, that has been the only kit in 35 years of building models that I have imploded into the wall.
  6. This came up in my news feed and I thought I would share this http://www.motorcities.org/Story/Remembering+the+early+days+of+the+AMT+corporation+1950s70s+br+By+Robert+Tate+Automotive+Historian+Researcher+br+Images++Courtesy+of+Robert+Tates+collection-348.html
  7. the AMT one was the dukes car with a blocky nose attachment to make it look like the 69-70 charger, yeah lets just forget about how bad it was
  8. lindbergs 1940 ford coupe has it all beat, cause when your considering taking a belt sander to smooth the body sides you know it's time to toss it
  9. The 57 wasn't half bad either, I did the Hot Rod version and everything worked out great with a little clean up. the only real bad thing about that kit was the two piece tires that made it to the trash cause they were badly misshaped .
  10. I just trade that kit a few months back to someone on here and it was almost intact only four parts were missing, three head parts and a front suspension stabilizer but other than that the kit was in awesome shape.
  11. to me it's a hit or miss on selection
  12. I don't get impressed very often on this site but this is some dang good work so far. Very straight forward and talk about reusing anything on hand, nice job. Now the question is what are you going to do if you get the actual kit of this?
  13. something I remember about a fool and his money soon part ways?
  14. 1972 Cheyenne pick up I did, looks great perfect paint and interior, awesome chassis somewhere is a perfectly wired and detail engine waiting to go into it at some point when I find it.
  15. well if you want something diffrent then stuff a slant 6 from dodge in a 70 chevelle jut to make people think your nuts then
  16. i've been wanting to do the same thing but make a 81 ford f-100 custom with a straight 6 in it like I had, This looks really good so far , keep at it
  17. my Guilty kits are the Dodge Ram 50's and the Four Courier kits like I said in another posting and the AMT 32 fords, again lots of parts and tons of options of how your going to do it.
  18. with the ram 50 you got sport parts, custom and just everyday stuff, example in the bed you have the roll bar with the two pony seats, ground trim and maybe a engine swap and you got a weekend warrior.Ladder rack and its a work truck, beefy tires and some search and rescue stuff and its a late 70's early 80's beach truck, just to name a few things. heres mine, still havent finished it yet
  19. this isnt so much about talent as I'm pretty sure even the best of modelers get that one kit they just say "to heck with it" and Ginsu it for parts if they want or just forget about it all together. We all have done it and it don't matter what level of talent we have.
  20. The Revell 57 chevy with the open everything wasn't that bad of a kit body wise, the front suspension was the biggest mess of the whole kit,the next kit on this list also has to be any of the vw bugs from Revell "well at lease the older kits" example for those who haven't the pleasure there is about a 1/4 inch gap to 3/8's gap going around the firewall when you put the body on it and it really noticeable if it's the convertible, either glue the boot on if you don't make a new wall or glue the top on.
  21. oddly enough I liked the amt mini trucks like the dodge ram 50 and ford courier, given the subjects they are there really is alot you can do with them,I wish Round2 would release some of the others so I don't have to pay evil-bay price's
  22. Like it say's the worst of the worse Craptacular kits of all time, the one's where you get to a certain point after working on it cause you think you can't go any further cause it's just that bad. Example, mine was Lindberg's 1940 ford from the dodge two and one kit that you were to build and put on the flat bed, soft details and the who ever was filling the mold didn't seat it properly that it was thick and almost solid flash. What's yours?
  23. if they do one as a kit in needs to smell like old beer, smokes and vomit, cause that's the only way I remember those cars back when I was a kid.
  24. Awesome Trader alert 1930fordpickup aka Andy perfect person to trade from and well packed box, more than highly recommend
