Yeah Mopar we do go back a few years and a couple forums thx for sticking with me bro. And as always thx for the intense compliments. and you must be my brother from another mother LOL! Yeah I see the resembalance now...
I have done it all at one time or another from R-C to Dioramas, trains, armor, ships, planes, cars, Ive even built miniatures for feature films. Doing a vast range of builds keeps my skills up. Romell
I think you could use an afterburner from a fighter jet model just kinda inset into the rear. just my thoughts . great job by the way keep the pics comming!
Nope hes right its a 66 , the elcos have the same body lines as the chevelles of the same years. And nice job on it I might add. keep up the good work!
Thats a good method, but the only problem I see in using that is the flocking can be blown off of the paper if by chance you get a breeze or the fan is on or if someone opens a door to your work area, or the airconditioner comes on. By shaking into a box you aviod that problem, yes scooping up with a card may be a little more work but you'll end up not loosing flock to a breeze
hey fellas thought post pics of how the trim came out. I dont like BMF so I decided to spray the trim with Alclad Chrome heres how it came out.
First the model has to be masked off
then after I spray Tamiya clear to keep the paint from bleeding under the tape. I wait for the clear to dry then spray alclad gloss black on top of the clear, once the black has dried I misted on a coat of Alclad chrome.....
cant forget the doors....
Was able to finish those brake rotors today, ..... I recieved my hardware in the mail today from Scale Hardware they make all kinds of micro nuts and bolts in brass and stainless steel. He even provided a tool to use to make working with them easyer. Oh and gave me a neat sanding stick. well Nuff said heres the pics enjoy!
Heres the tool you use to mate the nut to the bolt
and heres the finished product
this model is a very good representation of the real car (which sits in my garage) the the door does look like this on the 1:1 and the ripples on the floor could have been a tarp laid down for the photoshoot. but this is a very well executed model.
Well thank you Virgil and welocme aboard glad you like what you see. speaking of eye candy I saw the eye candy you posted in the "under glass" And that was a work of Art! Romell
Great job so far I love the colors I think that because this is a custom job that you can pretty much do whatever you feel, I think the Idea of the frame being tangelo and the motor would set your build off. And ofcourse do everything eles black. Just my opinion the way I see it just have fun with it and let it build itself. Romell
Update Time!!! I put the interior together today has a 15' monitor in the back with speakers also put in the throttle and brake and clutch pedals enjoy....
I am making this appology to a Brother in arms and a commrad in modeling. I made a statement that I believe has offended one of our forum members (who shall remain nameless) who is very good standings. But behind a trade stitutation he has been slandered. I know this man is of excellent moral standards (retired Marine). I did not know all that had gone down in the deal only what had been presented to me in a chat. Most of which was one sided. Truely my intentions were not to get anyone in trouble but only to get the feeling of others in the forum in hopes to move both partys involved to do the right thing. Then this morning I was informed of the otherside of the story, which led me to make this appology formally. I am truely sorry if i have Offended you Brother. And I hope our relationship will not be affected by this miss understanding. Romell
