  1. Scale Equipment Ltd. has jack-stands. A little expensive, but they have good stuff and good service. Charlie Larkin
  2. As pointed out, Vinyl Nation has an excellent product that's well worth the purchase price. I'm ordering a set soon because they look good, work well and everyone I've talked to that's used them has absolutely raved about them. Charlie Larkin
  3. Agreed! Although like me, when the same tray table doubles as your computer desk and work-bench, it can be a little difficult. Charlie Larkin
  4. As usual, Mike, a nice end-product. Charlie Larkin
  5. These were like rocks and getting mount them on the AMT wheels, got me 11 stitches. But the crazy glue stopped the bleeding while I finished mounting them and before going to the hospital. A modeller never stops a project. This was a painful build, but worth it. Al Now that's commitment! Or possibly a sign of needing to be committed....? Seriously, Al, great job on this. Charlie Larkin
  6. I had wondered that, too. Apparently, all the closed cars (except from what I've seen, the wagon), had gray cord and broadcloth interiors. The convertibles could be ordered in leather in red from what I've been able to determine, but I don't know about other colors. I ran across pictures of an 88 Holiday in the soft yellow with a black roof and a gray interior. That was actually a rather pretty car- I generally prefer beige/brown/tan with yellow tones. Charlie Larkin
  7. Let the absence of mirror not reflect otherwise on a good build. I'm surprised I missed this one....two years ago? Charlie Larkin
  8. I don't know if the rose or whatever Ford called pink was a Park Lane color, but that still looks great. As I've said before, in the 1950s, almost anything was possible, and re-sprays weren't expensive. Very nice job. Charlie Larkin
  9. Those wires look really good on that. Nice job, Tullio. Charlie Larkin
  10. How on Earth do you do an encore to that? Impressive engineering and workmanship. Charlie Larkin
  11. When I set this up, I was forced to make two questions to continue with the choices, so I added that last option as a "control." Charlie Larkin
  12. That resembles me in the morning. IF, and only if you listened to my students, however, they'd say at least mentality-wise I resembled that any time of day. Charlie Larkin
  13. I remember the brochures that pictured the widish (about 1") whitewalls available as an option, not quite like that, but still looks good. That is a rather strange law. I suppose they presume anything that old is either rusted to bits or is poorly maintained? And yes, a rather dumb one. The protruding side-markers at the front are interesting. Is that a Finnish regulation, or was that how the part was molded? Nicely done either way. Charlie Larkin
  14. Yes, more pictures would be welcome. What's present, though, is very nice work, Art. Charlie Larkin
  15. Not an update that would be able to show in the pictures, but a little update. After allowing the body to air-dry and being busy the last couple of days, I noticed that the body had become a bit rough on the surface, and with all the leftover stuff on it, I got to thinking.....I wonder if I could polish some of that stuff out? So, out came the Novus #2. The end result wasn't quite what I had what I'll admit might have been somewhat unrealistic hopes. It did, however, level out a couple of rough spots on the leftover paint and restored some of the finish to the plastic, which means I think I'll now be able to get a little better paint-job out of it. I'm still debating an additional soak in the Super Clean just to see what else can be taken off, but as it is, I think I'll still be able to get a decent paint job out of it. Charlie Larkin
  16. WOW! No wonder why you left it alone! Baby what a big surprise is right. Good call on your part. Charlie Larkin
  17. What's so horrifying about the Pocher Benz black plastic? Or is it just because black is that hard to paint over? Charlie Larkin
  18. Ouch. I hope everything gets resolved quickly and you're back to speed. We're all here for you and your family, the major thing is to get your life put back together. Charlie Larkin
  19. Well, a '70 can still handle a small trailer if you find yourself compelled to relocate! Charlie Larkin
  20. Supreme excellence on all counts. Charlie Larkin
  21. Geeze, what did I start?! This would be one good "best of" album. For the record, I like white plastic generally, but especially when I'm doing white, I actually find I prefer light grey. I find the contrast is very helpful. I do wish someone would come up with something like that ceiling paint that changes colour (my world- hey, everyone else is having fun!) as it dries to check coverage as I go. Charlie Larkin
  22. Neato. I think I'll have to add this to "be on the lookout for.." I have a very cool idea (I think) for displaying my pre-war high-zoot cars, and this will be another one to add to the display. Charlie Larkin
  23. 1/25 with 1/24 and 1/32 as needed or desired. Charlie Larkin
  24. Oh cripes, now we're making a compilation album! Actually, some pretty good tunes here. I can tell you this, I don't care for bleeding dyes, no matter what color they are! That's what screws up everything. Charlie Larkin
