  1. Bobby, you are lucky you got to see it in person. I think eventually nature will take its course, although I am sure the coats of paint are helping keep the metal from rusting altogether.
  2. Enjoy it, Daryl. Lots of great tips and ideas there . . . Ken is always pushing the envelope with his build. Here are a couple of pics of a new work in progress, in case a few of you have not seen it: Ken is gifted building both vehicles AND structures . . . this is from THE ARCADE (WIP): Here are a few more pics:
  3. Thanks, Rob. That's what it's all about, sharing and learning from the eye candy.
  4. You are having a blast with this one already, Junior, and it's showing.
  5. Some great ref pics, thanks for sharing . . .
  6. The jeep looks good. I like the color.
  7. I like the title of this thread . . . it made me chuckle. Can't wait to see what you folks turn up with this one.
  8. Oh man, that body is the perfect canvas. I can't wait to see what you do with the paint . . . keep it going.

    Badillac !

That's very cool, I am sure lots of people will build their own versions now, myself included. Thanks for sharing the great work, Zed.
  12. Donn, keep sending me pics and I will post them.
  13. Classy and well detailed. You did a great job on the foiling too. Just an all-around nice model. Congrats.
  14. Nice color on it.
  15. I've always love the curved back on these fat fendered Fords.
  16. I do too. Keep working on it and making progress, please.
  17. Holy smokes, that chassis looks amazing already. Great scratch-building as always, John. Keep it going.
  18. Ah, one of my top 5 kits. You are going to have fun with it, it always builds up into a great model. Keep us posted.
  19. Sorry to hear about your friend, Donn.
  20. Great job on the paint, interior, engine . . . the details and color really make this one stand out. Thanks for sharing.
  21. Frederick, you have to do an experiment and put a scrap body in there with sand or baking powder or even salt and tumble it for a while just to see what happens. As an experiment. There are some very small machines (reasonably priced) on the market, and I'm just curious, which is why I posted here hoping someone would do some quick experiments.
  22. Wow, thank you for the pictures. What a bunch of great pics . . . and lucky you you got to go out there. One day . . . in the meantime, good pictures like yours led to this a couple of years ago:
  23. Glenn, YES! That's a great idea . . . something a bit less abrasive . . . even sand might work really work at smooth out the plastic . . . the idea would be to tumble long enough for good results . . . That's what I'm thinking, an idea for someone with a tumbler already to try . . .
  24. Great results with the flocking, Geoff.
