  1. Wonderful paintjob and colors! Congrats.
  2. These are fabulous results . . . I love it. Keep it going!
  3. Thanks, chaps. I just got back from a roadtrip and we'll resume work on this junker cluker.
  4. Thanks, folks. I really appreciate it. Yeah, I think I am going to use BMF on the windows and side trim . . . but we are far from getting there yet . . . next up is the rolling chassis, and then the interior, and the engine. Can't forget the engine.
  5. Thanks, Harry!!! No basket is ever insormountable:
  6. What begun with this: Turned into this: Stay tuned in for more progress . . .
  7. Absolutely beautiful body work, and to think that once the paint goes on on this bad boy, this is going to be a great build.
  8. You are welcome, buddy. Now, I've lost my mind working on this next one:
  9. Most of the diorama details come from exchanges I have done with other folks who build dioramas, but I also have an extensive diorama parts box where I keep all the stuff that I think will work . . . but believe it or not you can get a lot of mileage out of simple paper. Like the discarded Mexican blanket inside the Challenger that was found on Google Image, printed down to scale on regular paper, and then glued to the interior . . . let me dig up the picture . . . To make the interior look thrashed, I just glued pieces of Kleenex to the seat with watered down white glue and then after it dried rockhard, I cut it and pulled it into the right sized tears . . . I had done the same thing to the headliner . . .
  10. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Congrats, buddy, what a gorgeous vehicle. I love the color and those white walls are perfect!!!
  12. I am OCD, so building models helps soothe my shattered nerves . . . also, it helps keep my blood pressure down.
  13. It'd probably go for cheap!!! Yeah, right! Thanks, gents, for the kind comments . . . builds like these really help keep my blood pressure down!
  14. I don't know about Challengers, but I've seen all sorts of great cars in Florida . . . all junked and all rusting happily into oblivion!!! Thanks for the comments everyone. I really appreciate them . . . I took the build outside for a little bit of fun and to see if I could play around in fooling the eye, and here's a neat little result, well, at least I think it is neat:
  15. Hello, folks, just sharing a bit of the latest work in progress . . . this one is almost done, I hope . . . hope you enjoy it . . . the whole build is archived in my Fotki account. Thanks for looking . . .
  16. Ole Hogdoo Grundy can be found at the Birmingham show once a year in early March. So far as I know he is thrving doing a little bit of flint knapping, collecting ancient Jade from China, writing books, and buying kits to open the box and feel like a teenager again!
  17. I agree, totally elegant and super executed. Fabulous!
  18. Congrats to all but in particular Hollywood Jim for the amazing work on BAD PENNY.
  19. If I find my head, I will definitely love to do one of these . . . perhaps a muscle car! Or even better, why not make the vehicles look like zombies--EVERYTHING GOES!!!
  20. Wow, Tom, welcome back. Man, you brought us a lot of great eye candy. Thanks for the great coverage of the show, buddy. Amazing models on all the tables.
  21. Thanks for the great eye candy, Gregg. And WOW, I can't believe you are already back home. What? You own your own private jet? Does it need to be refueled over Midway?
  22. Wow, Lyle, thanks for all the great pics, all 470 of them. What a turnout! If the models look as good in person as they look in the pictures, it must have been one heck of a show!
  23. Hum . . . look at these two rascals up to no good: Photo: Ken Hamilton!
  24. GREAT SHOW, Dave. Thanks for all the eye candy! WOW.
