Jay Leno's Garage
1930fordpickup replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
These are great shows to watch. I feel the dress code for Jay is to make him look the part of a normal car guy, afterall I think he is just that. A normal car guy that loves to drive and tinker with things. The range of powered equipment is awesome. The cars that he has on the show is very broad . Trucks , tractors , cars, bikes, gas, electric, steam and even stationary engines have been recorded for his shows. Always good for a few hours or more. -

Awesome. Just saw one of these on a lowboy in Michigan just a few weeks ago. A perfect model for 3D Printing. -

I always thought the 2000 R was not street legal , just like the thunderbolts . Learned something today. -
http://www.scalefinishes.com/welcome.html Try contacting these guys, if you use an Airbrush . It looks close to a hunter green or a forest green but not exact . I just searched Brewster Green. Hard to tell from the computer screen for me.

If I remember right he was going to post the whole build through without comments. Then it was going to be pinned so that it would not go to the bottom of the list. They were going to lock it so that it did not end up 100 pages of our comments in between progress . I am not sure if we could comment after it was done or not. I think it is still a go. -
I was at the local store and had a cart full of stuff for a party. I was a bit behind on time and looked at every line with three carts behind the person being checked out . Well as normal many lanes not open but just taking up space in the store. So I spot the lane with only the person being checked out , make a straight line and start unloading my cart. I get an unpleasant look from the cashier but thought nothing of it. Well after the other customer left the cashier I was scolded from the cashier for being in the 15 items or less isle . OOPS MY BAD . I was that guy. She did check me out with an evil look . LOL So please tell me why they have 20 lanes when they only open 5 at a time. Even the night before the three big holidays they are never fully open . They seem to be taking many of these away and add the self checkouts all over Toledo . Wear is my discount for doing work for the store ? LOL

I believe that adding something on cars that has no real function is pointless. I guess I am showing my age.

What did you see on the road today?
1930fordpickup replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Last weekend while heading up to Sand Lake MI a GM Futureliner was headed the other way on a lowboy. The girl in the front seat said what is that some kind of space truck or something. She likes cars and has never seen one before. I told her what it was a said that was a million dollars going the other way. We we just north of Ann Arbor MI when we came acrossed it . I did not know that any were still in Michigan. I thought they were all down south and out west. As I was the one driving no pictures, but at 70 MPH slim chance anyway. -
Who took the car to the storage lot is the key to whomever stole the car in the first place. That is the person that they have to stop from doing it again and again. Not the first car that this person did this with, nor will it be the last. It is as important to stop this person from repeating the crime for the next person or persons. These are not cheap cars so I doubt he started with a car that is that rare to begin with. If Sitton took this car to the storage garage within a few years of when it was stolen it was done so to hid it out from the police and the rightful owner. Why this matters , if they start looking around he may have many cars sitting around buying his time so that he can sell them.
