  1. Thanks, I'll try that, works brilliantly on your truck.
  2. Very nice! I can imagine that colour looks great in person - you get an inkling of the overtones in the last shot.
  3. That's one very fine model!
  4. Beautiful clean, shiny build and I like that stance. BTW The windscreen frame looks particularly well done - seems to have the correct rubber sealing, which can't have been easy. Is there a trick?
  5. Very cool, well thought out details throughout.
  6. I really like all three and have the kits too. They may have had a certain stigma in the US for years but any of them would now be considered ultra cool at the car shows I go to over here.
  7. Amazing! I would have thought it was some Tom Daniels kit from the 70s.

    Fiat 500

It was clear from your first WIP post that this was going to be beautiful - and it is.
  9. That looks really great! I want it!
  10. Beautiful truck, totally realistic.
  11. Fantastic! That seat actually looks comfortable.

    From the 60's

Wow, you were really going for it already way back then.
  13. Great looking Camaro, beautiful paint as always from you.
  14. Very nice! One of my favourite promos/kits.
  15. You did a really fine job on this combo: car and boat are both outstanding but the boat is spectacular.
  16. Diecast, prepainted bodies, everything else black plastic. I thought they were quite nice kits, quick and enjoyable builds, which responded well to a bit of BMF and paint. I added vinyl whitewalls to the GT but didn't detail the engine. The Shelby kit had accurate wheels but needed better tyres so these old AMT mags and tyres are a temporary solution. It also got a PE steering wheel.
  17. This guy out-Wingroves Wingrove. His Toronado and Avanti are the most spectacular models I've ever seen. Actually I've only seen photos but hope I get to see them here sometime.
  18. Very fine work throughout. I specially love how you achieve depth and definition with subtle washes - really adds to the realism. (Subtle seems to be the operative word here).
  19. They're all beautifully done!
  20. Looks great! And nice to see something different - I've never seen one of these built.
  21. Wow, that's a real achievement! Those decals would be a nightmare for me but you really got it right.
  22. If I had to choose then I'd go with Johan - for their accurate body shapes, fine trim and badging and less mainstream subjects. Of course chassis and motor are often third rate and early interiors are too shallow. And none of them ever saw a plastic bag - the parts were apparently thrown into the boxes from some distance. But I've learned to live with their short-comings and wouldn't part with any of my collection. (I also love the re-issued promos).
  23. When I sold all my 1.18th models a couple of years ago (they were taking up too much space) I decided to keep just one favourite and this is it. It's the luxury version with a real leather interior but this doesn't actually make it any nicer than the others which, at around $30, are good value. There's a new edition in rose metallic and white which I think I prefer. PS While checking these photos I noticed that the windshield is a tad too tall - probably should be proportional to the door vent windows.
  24. It says 1.24th on the packaging but I compared it to the AMT kit and it's really 1.25th. I made it signifcantly more presentable by adding BMF, an antenna and Modelhaus tyres on AMT wheels.
  25. I missed this one. Fantastic conversion, great job on the trim.
