  1. It was very nice kit. But it had a few fit issues. The b-pillar cover sould be left ungluded because it need to be removed to open the engine cover. The decals are fantastic.
  2. I finally finished the C8 today. Not sure why it took so long but here it is comeplete.
  3. I see the Corvette C8 Convertible in the lower left corner. Anybody have any time frame for that?
  4. On the real cars te 5 spoke werre used on the 66 Vettes and the 6 spoke was on the 65. Crazy huh.

  6. Thanks for the kind words. I used the AMT 64 Mercury for the body, interior tub & glass. I used the AMT 60 Ford Custom issue for the drive train. It had the correct chassis, suspension, headers, engine & transmission. The exhaust dups were made from aluminum tubing. Let me know any questions you have as your build progesses.
  7. When I add the b-pillar cover it sits too high. It won't let me open the rear engine coer for display. For those that have built this kit ddid you have any issues like that? If so how did you resolve them?
  8. Love it. I post my Torch Red one in a few days when I finish it.
  9. Thanks Les. I would have hoped they would include those in the kit. I hope someone plans to do them. In the mean time I did this by hand. Fortuantley there is a raise portion to use as a guide for the tooth pick, then pen then the knife.
  10. Anyone have suggestions for masking the clear parts on this kit?
  11. Anybody loose their summary page that had Active, Watchers, Offers, etc? I lost mine several months ago and can't find anyway to get it back. Any thoughts?
  12. I did the same with mine. The 1699 Sealer then a white base then torch red. He is a pic after the 2K clear from splash paints.
  13. Luv it. Hope mine turns out as good.
  14. Thx. I really like the result.
  15. Nice start. What color did you paint the floor boards?
  16. I used some Scale Finishes base coat through it as a test. No thinning. I sprayed it on an engine and seemed to work ok at the pressure out of the gun. 17psi?
  17. Great Job. Looking forward to the rest of the build.
  18. I just painted my body yesterday. I used Torch Red over a white base. I got to get some clear order to pt on it.
  19. Thanks Greg. I appriciate the confirmation.
  20. Thanks for that info. The .3 needle seems a little small for bodies. I think my Badger Crecendo has a .5 for the medium tip. I try mine later today and see what happens.
  21. Thanks. That is great info.
  22. I will let you know what happens when I try it tomorrow.
