  1. I have judged dozen's and been head judge at many of those.
  2. Yes get us some pictures to look at!
  3. I agree with Andy about more partcipation on both the cars entered and offering to judge.
  4. That was my 1st car I bought. Love the style. Keep us posted.
  5. Marc I don't have one of the body I am doing but here is a reference pic from another buidler. When doing the vinyl roof the inside of the vinyl is where it over laps and is where I need the fillet. The out side edge is straight not rounded.
  6. I am doing a vinyl top on my 69 Nova and need to do a fillet on the ribs on the top and wonder if white glue would work?
  7. No pictures Greg. Went to a login page. Some of us old pharts will never be on FaceBook.
  8. Why don't you post some of your "perfect" models so we can critisize those? Have respect for others he already said they were out of scale but he like them and that is all that counts.
  9. Thanks guys. I am doing a Weber setup and had used CA before but thought of trying solder.
  10. Has anybody soldered photo etch? I need to solder some linkage to a brass rod for some carburators.
  11. Darrin this is a great candidate for a resin caster!
  12. E-mail them the questions. He is a great vendor to work with.
  13. Will do Ben. Waiting for reply from Vince about the laser cut plastic for the "hauler" part of this build.
  14. Great reference pics Ben! Thanks for sharing.
  15. When can we expect the Laser Cuts body & Decals Vince?
  16. According to the announcers the other tems in GT said that the Corvette's were just playing with them because they were so fast. Maybe they want to avoid being "regulated" out of being competitive so they crashed out once they knew they were faster than "stink".
  17. I just order this resin Dodge Crew Cab to build Don Prudohmme's 67 Car Hauler. What Chassis would I start with?
  18. has not set their status

  19. Great news CAL! Keep us updated as you do things. I have a Sherline Lathe & Mill that I want to start turning out some metal!
  20. I agree about the problems with deciding on "who is best". We have a "judged" contest in March. Ours was just last Saturday and we use a points system for judging Finish, Interior, Chassis, Engine etc. In our case this has worked well for years until last Saturday when the Master Awards were "picked" instead of being judged using the points system. The issue we have is the credibility of the choices. If the Best Car wasn't picked both the show and the entrant pickedwere misserved. The entrant thinks he has a better car than he did and the contest looses credibility for other entrants. ###### humans, they are full of mistakes.
  21. Guys the answer is it "depends". I always use Westly's Bleach White for 24 hours and that is plenty of time. Bob Downie prefers Easy Off oven cleaner "Original". As for castrol Super Clean/Purple Power you have to be careful because some resin has a negative raction to it an will make it soft.
  22. Saturday is the Day for the largest Automotive Model show in the Southwest. Even if you don't have anything to enter come visit the show and the vendors!
  23. The decals are available from Whoopie-Kat Decals. Woopie-Kat Decals
  24. Thanks for the offer but I have several of those kits. These do have the correct "period" look but they need alot of clean up. But mostly I was hoping to find someone had added headers to this kit and which ones they used.
