  1. It looks great! Way to go. I have 2 started in the same color, that I need to finish.
  2. I recieved the pony wheels from Missing Link Resin a couple days ago. They are AWESOME! If you need pony wheels they are the place to get them. No sinks like some of the plastic pieces! I may just have to build My LX with the factory engine, just to get it finished.
  3. Updates?
  4. Thanks, I am glad you like it!?
  5. O.K. , So a few days ago I mentioned, That I was working on something other then the model I was supposed to be working on... Here is the af/x resin body that I reworked...
  6. I think we may have to agree to disagree on this one. For one thing the Monogram car has "droopy" headlights, not present on the USAirfix kit. If they copied them, then they also copied MPC. As both have chrome one piece headlights and side pipes. Monogram has a decently curved roof, USAirfixes is flat like Revell's. Revell's also has a TERRIBLY inaccurate interior just like USAirfixes... I guess they All copied off each other, and none of them got it right!
  7. You know what I don't understand? Why go into a forum, and then question the person whose forum it is? To me that's the equivalent of walking into someones house, and taking a big steaming doog right in their favorite chair. It's Gregg's "House" so to speak. Why be disrespectful? If you feel you can't play by the rules, there are other "houses" with different rules. Go play there!
  8. My thoughts and prayers for you and your wife, in this time of need. I am very sorry, you even have to deal with this situation.
  9. Umm, How can it be a rip off if they don't share ANY of the same parts? So did Revell rip off USAirfix for theirs? I don't get your line of thinking, here. If any company ripped off any car, then It has to be Mpc ripping off the Amt annual 69 Mustang. It's almost like they resin cast the body, and then made a plastic mold from it, for there kit. (It would explain why it's smaller right? ) As far as building or buying a fox... Swap meets RULE. Sure you can buy a fox, already done, but what do you do when you need parts? How do you know which 5 lug swap was done? Where the engine came from? ETC. It's much less hassle if you do it yourself, though maybe more costly.
  10. I don't think that is quite true. The USAirfix model shares nothing with the Monogram model. The only thing they share is scale. Maybe I've just never seen a "first run", but I have never seen one with a Monogram car on the cover?
  11. A few fries short of a happy meal.

  12. [url=http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?app=forums&module=post&section=post&do=reply_post&f=3&t=30265#] No, no real progress, not on the one I SHOULD be working on anyway. Well,... I glued the engine halves together, does that count?
  13. I ordered some parts from this ebay person, the first 2 were delivered promptly. But the 3rd item, I have been waiting for 2 months to receive. If it's not Wendell, they have the same customer service. I would be very cautious doing business with them.
  14. I'm looking at the actual engines on the plane. Why are they at different angles? The left one is pointing up, the right is straight on?
  15. It seems that you have addressed many of the issues with the kit, but how do you plan to address the door issue?
  16. It's VERY simple to correct the shape of the spoiler. All you need is masking tape, and a half round file. Mask off the fenders, and anything you don't wish to sand, and file away. It shouldn't take more then about ten minutes? to cut down the rear spoiler. To Make the 3rd brake light. (SO much easier to say isn't it? ) Find a picture of the appropriate light, as straight on, as you can find. Adjust to apropriate size. Cut out picture, and white glue, to a piece of your favorite tape. Apply to the body in the appropriate spot. Take the back of a blade and carefully etch the outline, into the spoiler. Voila! In the case of the 1986 SVO, it appears that there is actually a raised portion around the brake light... I'd apply the "decal" to some strip styrene, trim around the light, and make the 3rd light "ring", which could then be applied to the spoiler. (This is NOT a good picture to use, and only used for reference. Notice, that you can see the left mirror, but not the right? it is NOT straight on.)
  17. Thank you for these pics. If you get bored...I would love some t-top specific part, and weatherstrip pics.
  18. Been tinkering more then working lately... Made two coupe interiors one based on a convertible bucket, and one from the Cobra:
  19. That's good to hear! I am so gald that this project is moving forward, though somewhat slower then anticipated... I have added a link to the Project Snowball Part II page @ Scalefinishes to the first post of this thread . Project Snowball II (courtesy of Scale Finishes)
  20. Len have you received the kit yet?
  21. My condolences as well. I'm very sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers go to you and your family.
  22. Congrats on the new child Len! Please send Dwayne a PM as he seeks your address, incase he has not already contacted you.
  23. The last I heard, Cruzn was getting ready to send it to Len Giesler. I have not heard if Len recieved it, but I believe that Len Giesler's wife just had a baby. So...
  24. Thanks everyone you'd be amazed at how many cars you can look at and never get decent rear seat pics..
