Jody, I hope that you can get things worked out, to your satisfaction. You will be missed in your absence. -
The problem is they tried to maintain the 77? vette's body lines, which makes the newer rear end too low. It looks like it got rear ended. I would HAVE to try to fix that.

I fell in LOVE with Tamiya putty, but can not find it since I moved. I need a new putty. Something that doesn't cost 100.00 dollars, and is readily available. I would prefer something with a less pungent odor then bondo. So ahhh... What kind of putty do you use?

I'm in. I have a 93 LX that needs finished bad!

Most likely cause was underinflation. When was the last time you checked your tire PSI?

Umm...resin dust is VERY toxic, too my knowledge.

Using Acrylic Fingernail filler for bodywork
Abell82 replied to Custom Mike's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
How does this differ from using superglue, and(...) powder? Can, or rather do... CA excelerants, and de-bonders work on this stuff, as well? Would resin tinting agents be better to use instead of food coloring? -
1969 camaro street/strip machine......off to the paint booth!!

The 1/24th scale Monogram taillights, and 1/25th scale Revell are the same size, and same shape... -
1969 camaro street/strip machine......off to the paint booth!!
Abell82 replied to Jeff Sauber's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Just a small suggestion, ditch the stock taillights and get some from the 1/24th scale Monogram kit. They look a 100X better then the Revell units. The border is not as thick, and they are not as deep. I am not sure if they fixed them for the snap kits, or not but the ones in the glue kit are just terrible looking, in my opinion. The one flaw of an otherwise great kit. -
Any Pics? Updates? Etc.

I saw the body and sooo thought it was a Monogram 69 Camaro!
-
My appologies, I am having computer problems... Still trying to get things ironed out... 99GT has asked to withdraw.

Nice job on the hood, it looks very good. Contact Missinglink resin casters, and they can get you a Saleen style rear spoiler for it. I liked the tan in the interior, but the blue was a little too bright.

Folks, we have a small problem... First a little good news... Showrodfreak has expressed interest in becoming the second alternate. (Welcome!) Now the bad news... A fellow board member has brought it to my attention that I have messed up the order, that the people are supposed to receive this project in. I have placed certain members in a position, that would make them do far more then they are capable, such as final assembly or paint, or... This was not my intention, and needs to be rectified. Thus I am forced to revise the builder's list. I apologize for the confusion, this may cause, and will attempt to edit the previous listings to reflect the changes being made. I would strongly urge everyone on the list, to review the revisions, and consider carefully their place on it. I hope that this revision will clear up some problems, and not cause more. Please PM me any concerns that you may have regarding this revised list...and thank you for your patience. So here is the list I now have: (Revision 1) 1. Abell82 2. Envious8420 3. Cruzn 4. Len Geisler 5. 99Gt 6. TxRat 7. Pony Express 8. Dave Mikrut 9. Ictpacman 10. Lordmodelbuilder. 11. Roadhawg 12. *Matt LeBlanc* Alternates: 1.Jason Vandergriff 2.Showrodfreak

Just a gentle reminder to all participants... Please take lots of pics, and email said pics to either myself,(so that I can forward them) or to Jameston,(MCM handle Scalefinishes) at Scalefinishes, for inclusion into the web page...Project Snowball II We Thanks You!

While I applaud your skill and enthusiasm, I wonder if you are not trying to go too far too soon. The rules were... No builder does more than one thing. IE: If you chop it, you can’t channel it / tub it / paint it / etc. (someone else probably will) Jason Vandergriff has the honor of being the first reserve member...

What color is the Fairlane supposed to be? I am having trouble finding a similar color.

I have a different way to fix the fenders... (Read carefully before you begin!) Place a piece of masking tape over the fender, then take a ball point pen, and trace the outline of the Mustang flare. Using the back of an x-acto knife, scribe through the outline, leaving 3 mm's unscribed from both edges, this will hold the mustang flare in place. (You do want this!) Once you have completely scribed through the fenders,(leaving 3mm's on the edges unscribed) push the flare in, leaving the outer edge raised just above the original fender. Glue in place, and fill. Sand, or grind the remaining flare, from the inside of the body, and you are done. (It is more difficult on the front if you are leaving the engine compartment in place, but still possible.) Using this method will prevent you from having misshapen or out of round wheel openings, but may take more time. That's how I did my blue one, anyway, but I used too much filler, and lost some definition...:HotRod Mustang Street Machine I hope this helps...

Glad to see you working on this one again! The engine looks great. Can't wait to see it done.
-
I believe that it is generally thought to be about 1/27th or 1/28th scale. scale.
-
Make it a Stallion, or Mach 11 or Cobra or... just search for images of Mustang II's and build the one you like best. And by the way I've owned 5 of them.

Very nice! You do good work!
