Since, Revell has finally announced that they will be producing a New 1/25th scale Mustang Coupe. I guess that I don't need to worry about how bad I mess this one up, as I'll be able to build several more, in the future. (Assuming the Mayans are wrong of course ) So I will be blowing the dust off this one and working on it when I can, to try and get it done before the new coupes come out so I can build it's "Little Brother". Since there will be so many other coupes soon I am thinking this one will need something to help it stand out in a crowd other then it's sheer size (1/24th instead of 1/25th) and glaring inaccuracies! (LOL!) Thoughts or ideas? Anyhow... Thought about the engine a little more. I'll be using a 6 pack intake, to go with the 6 speed transmission...

I recieved this message from Bandit 1 AKA Sean Brady Today... "Sent Today, 11:38 AM from bandit1 one thing before i do....Is there any way i can get hlp mailing it to the next guy...all i have is enough $$$ to get it painted ....i need to see if there is anyway you or the group can help me get it mailed to the next guy?...im pm'en the other guy my addy now" Not to be jerk but my free time is limited and I don't feel like beating around the bush here so... I have already voiced my opinion on this matter and that is this: Each member pays there own way. That is the cost of playing. I don't believe that is asking too much? Further is the project even ready for paint? I have about thirty cans of paint in my stash, I think this is pretty typical? It sounds to me like someone will play but wants no real investment in it. However, I'll let the good people of the forum decide. Since this IS a forum project... Please place your votes.

Fox Mustang LX rear spoiler ?
Abell82 replied to 57peppershaker's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Af/x makes one, (there is a pic in the comparison thread) Reliable Resin is suppose to make one though I have never seen it.(will you get one if you buy it?) AAM had one,as well though it was part of the LX hatch body. Modelhaus was also casting this nody,as did/does Reliable. -
Sorry but your time is up (and then some) time to pass it on painted or not done or not.
-
You can cut it up and reuse it.
-
I built a Fox body the same color once... http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=47789&hl=

My appologies that reads much harsher then it was meant. If you wish it moved you can contact a moderator I am sure they will move it for you. Love the fox keep at it...

This should be on the bench rather then under glass?
-
It would appear that this project MAY need more particpants to complete it. Should we accept more participants or just finish it and be done? If we accept more participants how many, more? Opinions?

Message editted ...Oh and ah by the way... once again!! Haven't had much time lately to work on this. It's inventory time and I have been putting in many hours at work. Also, having a bit of trouble deciding how wild to go with the build.

The speedwagon has a 1/25th efi engine. I think the 5 window 32 Ford does too? -

Are you allowed to say more? -
I want to replicate this in 1/24

Check the Fox CBP. There is a set of those in there , but they have 6 spokes rather then 5. -
We will have to see how it goes. This Snowball was to be wrapped up a year ago. Maybe it's time to start another?
-
In keeping with the theme... I decided the engine should have a 6 speed trans... EDIT :

Possibly the resin does have moisture. But probably it's a lack of air traps in the mold. I do swirl the resin to mix it as well as using round dowels rather than flat.

Not finding much time to work on this, lately. I did manage to sneak in an hour or two the other day and refine some of the chassis... Added a bit to the rear and a little definition to the middle. A minor accident caused the the front subframe to snap off. But everything is back in place, now. I really like how the chassis has turned out. I think it should give the car a strong foundation. It just needs a few more details. I am toying with the idea of removing the molded in K frame and sway bar. Not too sure...

Why not Buy the AMT 69 Mustang with the 5 spokes instead they are about 18". -
Has this been sent on to it's next participant yet?

So uh, ... what's this have to do with either Rob Zombie OR Black Sunshine? Wasn't the car in the video a '65 'convertible?
-
Sweet ride. This build is still in progress, I just don't have much free time, I am afraid.

Naw, They are not resale quality. I don't have or use a pressure tank. I just cast for fun, for myself. ( Lot's of air bubbles) The mirrors are stock 1993 Cobra kit mirrors ( or 88 GT AMT ) , and the Taillights were made for a Revellogram 'vert which are taller then Cobra's. They can be filed down, though if needed. But, for some reason they keep coming out twice as thick as I want them to be.
