  1. After extensive work, here is where this one is at... Better or Worse? You decide.
  2. I bought one of these off the online Auction place a while back. Here's what I got...
  3. Check them out, before you thank me, but you are welcome.
  4. I believe that Reliable Resin Makes one in 1/24th.
  5. You do know, that with a few mods, the ENTIRE 99 Cobra chassis can be used, right? Give it a try!
  6. Kudos to both of you, and where do I sign up for a couple?
  7. I have to agree that a lot of people do it. However when an officer in a marked car does it, it sends a clear message. " Look at me, I don't know the rules of the road, but here I am trying to enforce them." Problem is if the officer doesn't carte, or worse realize they are breaking the law, then that make them incompetent. How incompetent is that officer? Should that person be an officer? How safe can an incompetent or stupid person make our streets? See the chain of thought here?
  8. Since there are so many officers in this thread, I have to ask... Nothing against Police officers.... BUT why is it they are some of the WORST drivers out there CHOOSING to only RARELY use their turn signals? Aren't they supposed to be setting the example for the rest of us? That is one thing that irks me to no end.
  9. Love what you've done, but a couple of questions: Why sand the top of the trunk, to the contour? It seems as though this would thin the trunk lid. Wouldn't using a saw and making a cut along the rear panels have been easier? This would leave all the material on the lid then you just have to add the "lip". I got little careless with this one but... Just make the cut, add some super glue and press down? (But be more careful then I was!)
  10. Curious to know... have you thought out how your going to fix the trunk lid? Maybe a pie cut to each corner, and a bit of styrene strip to the middle?
  11. Not to be the nasty here but what's the difference between spending 20 hours to fix Revell's fiasco, and spending 20 hours to fix one of the previous resin fiasco's Because it's plastic and not resin? It all seems SO HYPOCRITICAL to me, that I can make no sense of it. I think I'll just stick to the 1/24th resins I have. At least I don't have to unchop the top! Now where Reliable Resin's phone number...
  12. Looks good. Now about those windows....
  13. Lets just consider something for a moment. What if Revell had it right? I mean Monogram got it right 20 years ago with the GLX vert. So maybe its not Revell, but the scale and location of manufacturing.Maybe aman in China was having a bad time converting to 1/25th scale vs.1/24th. Which begs the question which scale should they be using if they are producing overseas?
  14. Sadly with Revell closed tomorrow for Memorial day .... no one will hear or see our arguments until Tuesday anyway. But come Tuesday I think we should all call and ask where to send the kits for a refund.
  15. How do you know? They cut a new body for the 69 charger why not for the LX mustang? They made 3 attempts at the Cuda?? WHO are you Darin to say Revell will or won't??
  16. That's one rusty can of 134a LOL!
  17. Ohh, and one more thing, HOW did they manage to get the front fender wrong, on the bottom AGAIN!!
  18. 1981? Mustang Convertible Cabrio by Revell.... and finally I think that Prostockmania...(Randy ) may be correct. the roof is NOT the wrong height. the body is? ... Sort of. .. (not really!) here is a shot of the Revell body with the MPC body in front of it... If you notice the body is WIDER then the MPC bodies, AND the MAD coupe that is based off these MPC bodies. Take that into account and the roof IS too short. even though both kits are supposedly 1/25th scale. So one of these is out of scale slightly, as well as being wrong.
  19. 1983 Monogram GLX convertible....
  20. How about a Reliable Resin body?
  21. This thread needs more comparison pictures. 1st how about a mad resin coupe?
  22. IF you want to compare an inaccurate model to an inaccurate model ... here's one in 1/24th scale... I made this from scraps of Monogram bodies. I still think it looks better then the new body.
  23. The entire body is wrong. The c pillars are the wrong shape. But so are the quarter windows. The trunk is too thick, and the wrong shape. The entire body is too square. Including the rear bumper.
  24. That comparison would be apples to oranges.
  25. I don't understand the fuss. It's the best Volvo kit I've seen in a long time.
