Fox mustang rarities

While what you say is true, it's also misleading. While the Turbo Gt was introduced Mid - year in 1983, the Turbo Mustang was originally made available in 1979. It was only in 1983 that the became electronically fuel injected. The previous years were carbed. And while NOT GT models they were special in their own way being Pace Cars or Cobras. Also while the white car is an Anniversary or 841/2 or GT350 it it NOT a Turbo GT. ALL turbo GT's had the rear facing hood scoop. It was needed for hood clearance I know I had one. (Edit: actually 3 if you count Capri's and t-birds.) Hope this clarifies things. -
This thing has become...tedious to say the least. There is always that ONE individual (or 2 as the case may be) that thinks the rules don't apply to them that RUIN the experience for everyone else. If I had to do it over again, I would not unless I was a moderator with moderating powers. And as stated I would get email addresses, home addresses, home and cell phone numbers, and the next of kin phone numbers as well. And no I am not kidding.

Uh ...yeah ,...no..... it's absolutely the right thread. The last posts made by Vandergriff were here in this thread. So while the thread has nothing to do with the Snowball project, the member in question has to do with the thread. So it IS the correct thread. Just to make things clear. -
Doesn't matter either way. This is as good as that hood gets... ...Even added hinges from one of my hoods that was too thin to use, on it's own....

Resin Mustang Lx's a Comparison and Review thread.

So I've been working diligently to straighten the body.... and I think I have it, pretty close to "acceptable"... (something like a month later?) posted an update in the Foxbody thread there was concern about the hood that came with the body.... I am afraid this is as good as that hood gets. added some hinges to it as well... But not to fear I have one of my own... Can you see the difference? -

ATTENTION : Jason Vandergriff please pass the SNowball project on, NOW! You have stalled it long enough. -
Jason Vandergriff pass it on NOW please.

Possibly.. You mean this one? Does the right side have too much, or does the left side have too little?
-
Let's take a look with primer on them... Again ... Hood #1 Hood #2 Hood #3 Hood #4 The four together... Kind of hard to tell them apart now, ...isn't it? (picture = left : 1 on bottom 2 on top, right side 3 on bottom 4 on top.) Yet if you'd seen them before you'd have thrown all of them away ...possibly. I guess anything can be saved if someone is so determined. On the car which hood is this?
-
Took the time to take pics of the four hoods.... Hood #1 Hood #2 Hood #3 Hood #4 Hood 4 has four LARGE air holes that had to be repaired. Just to see if the could be ...

My apologies, I just saw this. I just wanted to say...Nice build ! I was going to use those wheels on the one I built, but went with Wanntanabes instead. What chassis and exhaust did you use? If I were you, I'd sand the hood flat, (well sand off the rest of the molded in hood scoop ) and use a Boss 429 hood scoop. Hope that helps. Or just send it to me with a sample of that paint and I'll take care of her for ya (LOL)

(LOL!) That's something most people would NEVER accuse me of Brad. Truth be told, I think it's just that I find the body work portion the most enjoyable part of Model building. Probably why I have so many unfinished projects, too.
-
I have only a vague idea but I'd say so far around 15-20 give or take. Keep in mind roughly 5 of those were just cutting out the windows and trimming down the body. Then there were the hoods....OH so many hoods. There are four that I was toying with just for this body, alone.

Bought a "knock- off" Reliable resin Mustang LX coupe on Ebay a few months ago... Here's what I got... Here it is today.... It still needs a bunch of work, but I think it's coming along fairly well. Yes, that's one of my hoods, I was going to primer it, but it started raining. (The black spots on the edges of the hood are black marker)

I think I'd start with the MPC/AMT 88 Mustang GT body. There have been a few already converted, and the new coupe should make the conversion easier... Here is a really NICE version made from an MPC/AMT by Speedfische on the other mag forum... (took me awhile to find this pic but I knew it was out there!) or you could just make one from the Revell 93 Cobra that was just re-released... -
Here's what I need... On the bottom of the LX front bumper there are 4 "egg" shaped holes I need the dimensions of these holes. Pictures would be great too! I had the dimensions, but now I can't find them. I may have even thrown them out, as originally I was not going to extend the front bumper that far. Well, now I would like to, but can't seem to get the dimensions quite right....

Nope, I am more into the 1/24th stuff. What were you looking for?

It really doesn't matter, to me. There didn't seem to be a lot of interest in it though. Like I said there was a flaw with the mold, and it went from fair to bad quickly. I did get a few extra copies before it became totally useless though. And I have the master so I can always make a new mold, if needed.
-
I don't know, I tried a new mold rubber which is different then I was use to, and it took forever to dry. Even when I thought it SHOULD BE dry, it was not. as such there is a blemish in the mold about dead center of the hood. But it's easily fixable, with a bit of sanding. I could make a new mold, but I really don't see the point. Besides, it's still better then the other guys recast of the Reliable Hood! You can kind of see the flaw in this pic, though I think I sanded on the hood a little....
