  1. I also work for NAPA and have only met Ron Capps but he is a super guy. As for the change? I see the Corporate view easy enough. It does seem a bit drastic but the image is all so important. I didn't get a memo or a voice in this whole thing. I wonder why that is? Bob
  2. Nice! Do you paint it red with black decals or black with red? Looks like a ton of work. Bob Looking at it closer it looks like red with black decals.....
  3. Seriously? First model? Looks like your 1,500th. Some guys just have a meticulous nature from the outset. You sir, have that. Great weathering and execution. The pix are outstanding as well. Bob
  4. How'd I miss this one? OMG that's straight up killer!! Nice fabbing and concept all the way Nitro. Bob
  5. Very good first effort. I wish my first came out like that. Bob
  6. This is VERY impressive sir. Harry's gushing aside he is certainly on point. The foil work [which I take great pride in] is positively Stellar! Paint is perfect and this is the best example I have ever seen of this kit, and I've seen a few. Bob
  7. The last line says it all for me. "I had a 57 Chevy once, I wish I had kept it". "Well, why didn't they?" Great stuff.
  8. Always soooooo clean Curt. Bob
  9. That is sharp. I had the [dis]pleasure of working on XR4Ti's in the past and they were.........challenging. This one doesn't give me the willies. And that's a good thing. NICE Bob
  10. A Masterpiece!!!! Bob
  11. That looks fresh and is completely killer. We should have a section for pre internet builds. Just sos's the kids can know how we did it b'fo the intranets thingy. Great build. Bob

    Ferrari 458

Pics are far too small. Bob
  13. I have this kit and if it comes out like that I will be happy. Very nice Sir. Bob
  14. They could be .99 cents for all I care. I don't do business with that company. Bob
  15. Really nice Curt. One of my favorite cars of all time. I have 2 Fujimi Enthusiast series kits in the queue and this is inspiring me to build one of them. What a beast that thing must be. Take a picture with a 1/24 or 1/25 kit in the shot for scale bro.. Bob
  16. Well done brass era stuff always tickled me and this is no exception Harry. So well done and all the extra you put into makes a truly nice complete package. Nice colors as well. Bob
  17. Just dripping with cool! Bob
  18. The mid 80's Testarossa gets a bad break from the Ferrari cognescenti. But the white one in Miami Vice is a very beautiful car in my eyes. I like it better white than red. If i recall correctly it was a drug bust car that was originally black and then painted white for Crockett and Tubbs. A black Testarossa doesn't work for me somehow. But that's me. Bob
  19. My only rub with Ferrari was a tune up on a Mondial in the late 80's. After conferring with Viti Brothers Mercedes ace mechanic Gessepe it was decided i could do the work and parts were ordered. I took 3 days to do it and test drove it around town a bit before opening it up on Rte 6 N to Cape Cod. While the Mondial is possibly the lowest Ferrari ever made I had a ball doing the job [ Prestige for my garage] and the ensuing test drive was beyond words that still bring my fur up a little. I also learned what the heart of Ferrari truly is. It is a visceral throaty roar and a gearbox that only a man can appreciate. Yes, it was red. Bob
  20. Two absolute stunners right there. The color and wheel choice almost make them look like different cars. Bob
  21. I just spent 52.00 for an Aoshima Mad Max kit on eBay. But I spent over 450.00 for an unbuilt Aurora VooDoo Vega several years ago. If I want it I usually get it if I must have it. Still looking for a set of 1/32 Monogram gassers. Bob
  22. I use it for gaming and it's like cheating to me. I love SSD. Bob
  23. I cancelled cable TV 2 days ago. After getting a bill for 141.00 and not even understanding the charges I called and cancelled all TV service. I went to Radio Shack and pick up a HDTV antennae and I get 14 channels with it. Comcast gets me for 51.00 for Internet and that's it. Speed channel went down the tubes long ago, then, it was cut from the Digital Preffered package i was getting. I got 200 channels of BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH AND I was paying for it. Shame on me. I do like Gearz and Hot Rod TV and a few others like Pass Time though. The rest of that "reality" BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH held zero interest to me after one viewing and watching full grown men act like.......... I can't say here but you know darn well what they were acting like. Bob
