I was unaware there was a thread. It's coming out on DVD is what caught my eye so I got it. Didn't mean to step on an ongoing thread. My bad. Bob

These are outstanding! WIP or anything else would be great. I'm currently in the planning stages of a super detail modern Top Fuel car. I have my reference but it's nice to get some push.... Bob

I just had the priviledge of watching this amazing film. For those who are not F1 fans it is a great way to see the Master at work. For those who are, well, it's Ayrton Senna so it's all good. A tragic feeling will come over you by the end, but the ride is amazingly visceral with a driver that ran the ragged edge at ALL times. As much as I care for Jackie Stewart, Alain Prost and even Schumacher, SENNA is a must see if you like planting your butt in a car of any stripe. Bob

As nice as I've EVER seen. The side accent color is a very nice touch and a sweet color. Bob

That Standel is pretty mint. A nice OD in front of it would prob sound great. Bob -
I also have those at the NAPA I work at. They are Martin Senour pearls. i have thought of getting some. There are some fine powders in there. Some may be too course for models though. Bob

I offered a bit but didn't show my prized baby? For shame... Here is my recently repainted 1985 Gibson explorer. I have owned it since new, and while I've owned many other fine guitars in all the years since, it remains my main guitar. A few famous people have played this guitar over the years [Names witheld] and it is currently with its last of its 5 finish changes. I own a few other guitars but this is what I play mostly these days. It's been on stages with 15 drunks in the room. It's been on stage with 2,500 raging nutjobs moshing as well. But mostly it's been my #1. Recently repainted in a color I custom mixed for it called Sunset Orange Metallic, I also finally went to EMG pickups as well. I was a DiMarzio guy for over 20 years until recently. It now houses the brand new JH EMG set and it screams like a demon through my ENGL Pwerball II. The Kahler was put on the first year I got it and is a PAF model. As old a Kahler as you can get aside from a prototype. I changed the nut to a Graphtek a couple of years ago. i wish I had known about them sooner. I have the neck natural with Tung oil for a slicker feel with a Gibson Custom Shop point for the look. Paint is catalyzed Martin Senour with a clear coat from the same maker. New Grovers round out the rebuild. Enjoy -
The Zen in your title really drew me to this thread. I call my modeling my "Zen Time" to people I speak with about what it is i do for leisure. So, to speak to that part, it is the "Zen" of having tunes on and the TV off. It's about creating this thing in my mind and in pictures I've cobbled together to get it as close as can be to what end I am seeking. The "Zen" portion comes with the "mostly" relaxing feeling I get when I am whittling away on either the most hum-drum parting line, or attaching hand bent injector lines to the port section of a nitro fueler. It's a sense of all is right in the world, and I am present at its center with my accomplishment, however insignificant it may seem to the overall build or the world at large. "Zen" time is "Me" time. Good thread. Bob

Lamborghini Aventador.....Stand Back, this thing will Hurt You!
Dragline replied to Peter Lombardo's topic in Model Cars
Saw this on BBC's Top Gear and Hammond seemed upset it wasn't trying to kill him as often as most Lambos do. For my money this is hands down the BEST yet to come from that shop. OK the Countach is plain SEX. The Muira is dripping with Primordial ooze AND Sex. But this says P#SS oFF, i'm out for a jaunt. I'll be back in 14 seconds. WHITE is the color of choice for me. OH, NICE build BTW. I'm getting one as we speak. Bob
